I had an older version of these (probably 20 years old!) that were still absolutely fine but I lost them in a divorce. I ordered these and they are slightly different from the older version - a little more detail to the shape and more pleasing to the eye. And now they include food plastic lids! I haven't had them long, but they are holding up through the oven, microwave, and dishwasher just fine so far.

The range of sizes in the package are perfect for most uses. This was actually the second time I've purchased this particular set because my wife uses them constantly and more pieces of the same sizes were what she wanted. We've used the small ones as pudding cups and the big one for a casserole or for stew. Makes enough in the big size to feed 4 and I'm a big eater. Just be aware they are heavy and can be slippery and they do break when they hit a hardware or tile floor. I may even buy a third set when Donna's not looking...

I received this set as a gift from my boss and the first set arrived severely broken but after a quick call to Amazon, they had a new, unbroken set to me within 2 days! This set is amazing and a must have for anyone who enjoys cooking and is building up their bakeware/cookware collection.This set is so versatile and classy. I love that you can bake with the glass tops on to allow foods to cook without burning the top and of course, you can remove the top to allow the top of the food to brown. I also love that this set comes with the plastic storage lids so instead of transferring foods from the baking dish to a tupperware, you only have to pop the lid on the bakeware and easily store it in your fridge.One tip for anyone who purchases corningware or any type of pyrex. DO NOT transfer hot corningware/pyrex to a cold or wet surface as can cause the dish to break or shatter. This isn't something I have experienced with this set but growing up with my mom who is an avid cook and had both corningware and pyrex, I have seen first hand how these types of dishes can break.

Absolutely LOVE these!! I bought them for my elderly mother's home, but I stay there frequently so have had the opportunity to use them quite a lot. The assortment of sizes work great for us, whether it's just 2 or 3 of us for a meal, or the larger one for when more family or friends are joining us. They clean well, the glass and plastic lids are great, and they are just beautiful so I love that they go from stove or microwave right to the table and then we can put a lid on it and put it in the refrigerator with leftovers and back to the microwave again. Very sturdy, attractive, and a great set.

I purchased this set to replace the set that I gave to my ex when he left. I love this set. This is the perfect starter set especially if you are starting out in your first place and aren't sure what to buy. The beauty of this is that you can add matching pieces as you discover your needs. These are durable and I had my last set for 17 years, and I anticipate having these forever. On a side note, I have pieces of CorningWare that my parents gave me when I moved that they had since I was a child, and they are still going strong. CorningWare holds up!

Ya conocía los refractarios CorningWare, son excelentes, te permiten hornear y directamente pasar a la mesa, ya que son resistentes a la temperatura y bonitos, no necesitas desmoldar y pasar a otra fuente. El tamaño del refractario 2.5 es ideal para lasañas, quichés, etc., para 8 personas, y el de 1.5 para 4 personas. Los refractarios medianos son excelentes para guarniciones y los pequeños son ideales para dips. Conviene más comprar por paquete que refractarios individuales, ya que te saldrán más caros.

I was trying to replace my medium size oval Corning Ware from a set that I've had for a long time that I dropped and broke. The large one in this set is the same size, so it fits the bill. However, as other reviewers have noted, the quality control on these is not the same as it used to be... The top of it isn't even, so the lid wobbles. My old lid fit my dish almost perfectly, with no wobbling effect at all (I even double checked with my large one from my set to make sure... just in case). I checked the lid on the countertop and it was fine. Then I flipped the dish over and it definitely wobbles, with gaps up to about 1/4". If it had been a defect in the lid, I could have used my old one. But, I'm stuck with a wobbly lid that doesn't seal as well.Overall, set is good. One of the plastic lids was mashed a bit in transit by the way it was packaged, but it still fits the container, so we're calling it good enough. Seems like it'll be a good set, with some different sizes than we had before, so looking forward to the new ways we can use the Corning Ware.

I had a set similar to this with just a large and a small bowl that I inherited and I used it for the last 25 years and loved them. Unfortunately I lost the larger of the bowls to a teenage dishwasher. I thought it would be a straightforward standard thing to order from amazon. What the product description does not tell you is that these are not the same as the original Corningware. My large piece from the new set broke in the oven at 350 the first time I used it so I thought I maybe got a manufacturer defect or it had a bubble in it, no big deal, at this price I could forgive a manufacturing glitch. I tried to use the next smallest size in the microwave to boil water and it shattered in less than 3 minutes. The rest of the set will not be used in any type of heat application and I will use as a bowl for mixing cold dips or salsa. Beware using these around any heat.
