The spatulas did not flex when put under pressure, they permanently bend.

Love this tool! I use it for many different ways! I decorate cakes or cupcakes, I smooth dishes ready to be cooked in oven and also for separating food from pan! It’s so easy to clean, too!

Much to small and lightweight for use as a curd knife. Absolutely useless for that purpose.

I will never use a "butter" knife again! Hail the metal cake spatula! It took me thirty-five years of adulting to finally sit down, search for some kind of metal spread spreader, and order these. They're not the sturdiest, but for spreading condiments, they are the bee's knees!! If too much pressure is applied, the spatula portion will bend at the hilt; however, unlike some other metal kitchen utensils, water does not collect in the handle in the dishwasher. I appreciate that quite a bit.If you're looking for something that can reach into a jar of any size, smoothly spread condiments, and handle a trip through the dishwasher without water collecting inside, these spatulas are a fantastic deal!UPDATE: After only a few months of use, my jubilation at finding these spatulas, dulled and is now entirely tarnished. After only a month or so of use, the removable blades of these spatulas were falling out often and all the water was collecting in the handles. The blades grew so loose that they'd slip out. Two years later and the blades won't stay in the handle at all. It's like placing a pencil in a garden hose and hoping it won't fall out when moved.
