I love it. This battery operated reciprocating saw is light and easy to use. On some task I do not need to bring out my bigger saws all. That's when this unit becomes the perfect tool.

I do home remodeling from time to time, so I wanted to give this a try. It comes with a charger cord, one battery, the saw and two blades. It is similar in color black and yellow like Dewalt tools but a Dewalt battery will not fit in this saw. Just thought I'd throw that in there as the batteries are similar but the base where they slide in is different. So the battery is proprietary. Personal opinion if your going to use this saw much it would have been nice if they would have shipped two with it as the battery is 2.0ah and won't last that long if you have a lot of cutting to do. The battery also does not slide in the base effortlessly. You have to wiggle it a bit to get it in the base of the saw. The tool feels pretty heavy and should hold up. It has a different style of saw blade chuck. You turn it and insert the blade and let go of it and it turns back by itself and holds the blade in place. It seems to grip really well being new, I will be curious to see how this hold up over time. It has a trigger lock on it which I like so someone can't pull the trigger and run the saw without unlocking the trigger locks. The battery to charge does not slide into a base, you unhook it from the tool and in the top of the battery is a socket for the cord to slide into. When test cutting a 2x4 with this it seems to work fine and will use saw blades you purchase at the store. This saw, though somewhat smaller than some in its class, has a great price. If your a DIY person doing stuff around the home this saw might be for you. As far as in a commercial setting the battery won't last long and you might need a bigger size if you are doing a lot of cutting.

I ordered this for a home project I'm doing, replacing the gutters on my house. The old gutters were metak, and I needed to cut them down for the wast management folks to gather up. This made very short work of the gutters, and the nails holding them to the fascia.

I am super happy with this tool. I have a corded reciprocating saw that is less convenient and missing some features of this cordless version. This tool feels solid in your hand and has enough power to cut through wood or metal. A couple of things I really like about it are 1) The mechanism to replace the blade is very convenient - you just twist the collar, insert (or remove) the blade and let the spring-loaded collar go and you are done. It is locked in solid in seconds. 2) The tool has power lights on the side but more importantly it has a led light on the blade end that shines on the work - this is another plus over my old corded version. I attached a couple photos, one shows the light feature as well. 3) The variable speed trigger works well and allows precision selection of the speed you want for a particular job.I honestly don't think I will need my corded tool any more, this one should do pretty much anything I need. I am very pleased with this.

A lightweight but fairly powerful reciprocating saw. I've been using it primarily for yard work. Cutting down light brush, small tree limbs, etc. It's worked very well for that.As I mentioned it's lightweight so it's easy to handle without fatigue. It's powerful enough to get through branches that are roughly 2" in diameter fairly easily. If I had to nitpick about anything, it would be the battery life. It's not great but it's not terrible.Overall, I am satisfied with it.

Saw works well, but the batteries do not last very long. I fully charged them, and it just didn't last as long as I had hoped. Other than the battery life being short, this is a decent saw.

I ordered this to help me with small pruning projects. It looks like a dewalt but it isnt. The battery is a weird kind of 20v battery. It works perfectly fine and is easy to use. The saw blade is very easy to change and this fits on my tool rack with all my other cordless tools. I actually like the yellow color for tools like this because i often find myself needing to set the tools down in the grass. This is very easy to find when i do that. Not thrilled about the way you have to charge the battery by plugging the cord into the battery (no charger station). This is very light weight so its good for occasional work for home owners. I dont think this cuts the bar for every day wear and tear for a professional.
