Purchased the unit to help get tires off the snowmobile trailer after trying by hand for a few hours. The impact driver has plenty of power. It handled the job and I was quite impressed. However the sockets that came with the unit aren't very good. While trying to remove the first lug, the socket "stretched/flared" at the end and the lug was stuck. A quick trip to Menard's for a real impact socket and the job proceeded as planned.

I own a few different cordless impacts, to include an older 18 Volt Dewalt, and this one by far is the best of them all. It's just a nice, strong, big and beefy impact wrench. It has a mostly metal body and a brushless motor which is always great and preferred. It's definitely not the lightest option out there, but it's robustness is worth the weight. The best part, for me at least, is that it uses Makita batteries. If you don't know already, there is no difference between 18v 20v and 21v cordless batteries. They all are actually just 20v batteries. So even though these are marked as 21v, when measured, they come in at the standard 20.5v. I checked it with all of my batteries and it works with both my name brand and knockoff Makita 18v batteries. As well as these batteries work in all of my other name brand and knockoff Makita Tools. I have no way of measuring if this thing truly puts out 900ft-lbs, but it most definitely is very powerful. It absolutely zipped through lug nuts that even my Dewalt typically struggles with. You can get your NASCAR on with this bad boy! Some other pluses are that it comes in a very nice and strong plastic case that is designed to work with a stackable toolbox system, though I'm not sure which one yet. It also comes with a really nice 5 inch impact extension and a few decent metric impact sockets. Which are in most common lug nut sizes. So far I have found nothing negative to say about this impact wrench. I have been very impressed with it and would definitely recommend it.

My first electric impact in the 1/2" range and I'm kicking myself for waiting this long! I'll admit, I was dragging my feet for a name brand unit but just couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money. Glad I waited, because this little torque monster has made me a believer in the God of Torque! You get a simple case with the impact, some sockets, x2 batteries, and a charger. Batteries come to you needing a charge, so be ready for that. Ease of use is perfect. Can select a few modes for torque output, but full throttle is more my style. No problem pulling lug nuts off of my Civic while up in the air. This is awesome! No more getting the breaker bar are before jacking vehicles up in the air! Just bus'em loose! Changing out Snow tires for summer tires and vice versa is always strenuous work, and I don't look forward to it. This tool though I think will change that, and make it a lot easier. It has a lot of features and options.. For starting nuts, it has a low speed and low torque setting. For getting the nuts on fast it has high speed. And for torqueing it has a high torque setting! And the same thing in removal mode!!The kit comes with 5 sockets and a six inch estension which should cover most wheel changes on cars and small trucks. Two batteries, and a fast charger. So if you keep two batteries charged you should never run out of power! It also comes with a really nice and rugged case, but does not have a specific place for the sockets and extension. I think though if you lay them in the case, they won't damage anything, just don't play football with the full case!The unit seems very well made, and for the price i think you get a lot for your money, Including a very powerful impact wrench. I Iike this tool, and I recommend it!

I ordered this for my husband and he is very pleased with it. It is heavy duty and comes in a nice case with two batteries and several sockets. I will not that the sockets do not have a dedicated spot in the case they are enclosed in a plastic bag just laying in the case. Might be a little hard to keep up with. Otherwise no real issues with the product. Lots of torque and power. Super battery life. Would make a great gift for the mechanic in your life. A good value for the price and quality.
