This impact works well and seems well made. I will update if I have any issues. You do need to provide your own battery for this, it doesn't come with one.

I have a Makita 1/2-inch drive cordless impact that I keep in the back of my truck for roadside emergencies and also for doing tire changes or rotations at my home/shop. When I saw this Cerycose 1/2 impact that uses the Makita M18 battery system, I decided to order it from Amazon. My plan is to keep it in my Class C motorhome.I really like this impact. It is very powerful. According to the instruction manual that came with it, the maximum reverse (loosening) torque is 1400 ft-lbs. This should loosen pretty much any fastener I need to remove. For tightening fasteners, three torque settings are available: 750, 1000, and 1350 ft-lbs. Considering that the lug nut torque on my Jeep Wrangler J, for example, is 135 ft-lbs it would no be hard to get yourself in trouble by snapping off a fastener if you are too enthusiastic with this impact. Even given that the makers of these tools are usually optimistic when listing torque values, there is still a lot of power available with this tool. I removed a couple of lug nuts on my Jeep and the impact had no problem at all doing this. When I reinstalled the nuts I used the lowest torque setting of 750 ft-lbs, which is still much higher than the specified torque of 135 ft-lbs. I stopped the impact as soon as the nut made contact with the wheel. I then checked with my torque wrench and had to tighten very little to get to 135.The Amazon listing states that this has a brushless motor. I didn’t see any sparks through the cooling vents when it was running, so this seems to check out. I tried it out with three different aftermarket (Makita-compatible) M18 batteries and all worked properly with this impact. One noticeable drawback with this wrench is that it is very heavy. Without the battery, it weighs in at 6.7 pounds. Add a battery (about 1.25 pounds for one of my 6 Ah batteries) and you’re close to 8 pounds before putting on a socket. This is probably a fair trade off with the power of this wrench, but it is something to keep in mind. Another item worthy of note is that some of my sockets went on very hard when I installed them on the wrench. I was able to get them on, but it required significant force to get the sockets past the retaining ring on the anvil Not a real problem and I would rather have the sockets tight than have them fall of while in use..I had never heard of the company Cerycose that makes this impact before I obtained this one. According to Cerycose's store page on Amazon, they make tools that work with batteries from popular tool platforms, including Makita, Milwaukee, and DeWalt, all 18 or 20 volt. Cerycose does not appear to sell batteries or chargers, just the tools. This is an interesting concept and works for me as I have several Makita and Milwaukee 18-volt tools with batteries. As noted, I like this tool and expect to be using it whenever I need a little extra power.

This beefy 1/2" impact wrench from Cerycose answers the eternal question of "Where's the beef?" This cordless tool is considerable in its heft and ability. Rated at 1,400 FT/LBS, it's the most powerful cordless torque wrench we own. It is also the heaviest. The bare tool without battery weighs in just under 7-3/4 LBS. Add a big capacity battery and a socket with an extension and you are starting to get close to 10 LBS operating weight. Try holding a 10 LB dumb bell extended from your hand for more than a minute. This brute is a two-handed hold when in operation. Not that this is a bad thing. If attacking severely rusted nuts and bolts, you need a lot of torque to get the job done. We have a love/hate relationship with these types of heavy tools when working overhead, but sometimes you just need to toughen up buttercup. We are happy to exploit the power of this impact wrench with respect. The tool comes bare, with the only accessory the separate belt clip that screws to the side of the battery well. If you intend on installing and using the belt clip, you'd better have suspenders or tighten your belt a notch or two, otherwise the moon will come out early. Although there is no other inclusive items with the wrench, it does ship within a sturdy cardboard box with a foam insert cut to hold the tool tightly. We have many tools that over the years have resided in their original shipping carton, tucked securely inside the foam or plastic within. This box can serve as a tool case. We also have a few off branded Makita-styled batteries that came with other tools and are rated as "21V" but will fit and charge within a Makita 18V charger. We tested this wrench with one such battery and it operated just fine. The variable speed trigger offers control during removal or assembly and it operated smoothly. The ability to select 3 different speeds also contribute to the control aspect of operation. A reversing switch is located in the standard location behind and atop the trigger. We haven't yet crawled under the truck yet to test the limits of this tool, but immediate impressions are positive. We'd have no problem wading into a large socket/rust bolt scenario with this impact gun. We are pleased to have this in our arsenal.
