Jar manufactured from soda-lime glass that resists staining from Eosin or Hermatoxylin. Holds approximately 60mL of stain. Jar has heavy glass walls and a broad base for increased stability.

Two Coplin jars arrived in perfect condition, each well-packaged snugly in individual heavy cardboard boxes, within a larger box with bubble wrap. Standard Coplin jars to hold stain and slides, with lids.

Gets the job done. The glass caps are only for keeping dust out.I'll get the plastic ones with the screw on sealing caps next time.If you are doing large bunches of slides at the same time, these would be better for you than for me.

Wide base and mass render good stability. No bubbles or blemishes. Slides fit well for easy insertion and removal. Cover fits pleasantly. Nice looking work of glass.

The spacing could be bigger, I have a little hard time pushing more than five slides but it works.

I am sending these back. The lids are not screw on, I wanted screw on lids to ensure that there was no evaporation of the liquid inside

i am ordering more. Very high quality. And yes it is glass not armored glass, you have to be careful with it. I carry it with both hands. It is a precious item and must be cared for. I love it, gets 60cc, enough for me to do few slides with little loss of money. For fixation I use the cheaper plastic version (for methanol) for Giesma I use this. Color washes off easily.
