This item works well for me, I didn't use their app at all. It connected right away to Zwift on an iPad and Strava on an iPhone. I did have bluetooth disabled for Strava on my iPhone but once I figured that out it showed up right away.

I tried several devices to monitor my heart rate during workouts. This is the first one that actually works. The smart watches don't work. Highly inaccurate and a waste of money if you are using it to monitor your heart rate. I cross checked this device with a finger device during my entire workout while wearing it on my forearm and they both read the same after pairing it with my Iphone. The heartool app works well and paired easily. I would recommend this device for working out

I had an incredibly hard time determining which heart rate monitors would work with Zwift on my ipad (I’m using a Zwift Ride with the default wahoo kicker as my smart trainer). After hours of reading reviews and help articles I went ahead and took a chance on this relatively inexpensive hrm. My ipad / zwift saw it immediately and the accuracy rivals or beats my apple watch. Zero complaints! Don’t spend $200 for a complex hrm when this is all you need.

Coospo has no app for runners. The official app is coospo rider which is only for cyclists. You need to use a different app named hearttool as per guidelines given in the product details. This app is very average. Sometimes it records data, other times it completely missed the data. Not very useful.

UPDATE -10 months in. Monitor continues to impress. Battery life crazy good, links to Zwift everytime! Very accurate. Still loving this HRM.Original review. I really wanted to use my Apple watch as my HR monitor while I am Zwifting. But as others have said, it is extremely difficult to get the Apple watch to reliably link to the Zwift training App. I picked up this Coospo HR monitor and it linked perfectly right out of the box. It links up quickly everytime i start zwifting and it is always within 1 bpm of my Apple watch. Only change I made was to swap out the provided strap with Onewly 22mm Woven strap. It makes putting it on and off my right wrist extremely quick and easy.

The Coospo HRM paired easily with my phone and appears to be responsive and accurate. I like the different colors displaying heart-rate zone. The free Heartool software is pretty bare-bones though and not very user intuitive.I was unable to figure out how to set the max heart rate but Coospo customer support via email was very responsive and sent a video showing how to do this. Unfortunately, they confirmed that the zones are hard-coded and cannot be modified by the user.As I'm most interested in monitoring the aerobic zone, I was able to adjust the maximum heart rate until the zones were close to where I felt they should be. I would have rated the Coospo HRM at 5 stars if the zones were programmable. Still, for the cost, it is a great product. Battery life seems like it will be good.

I chose this arm band style heart rate monitor to track my effort while using a virtual reality headset. Mainly for the ‘Supernatural’ exercise/boxing app. It syncs easily with my IPhone and the VR headset both, I can actually see my heart rate INSIDE my headset after each boxing round in the app. The armband is easily adjustable and has different colors that flash, dependent upon how high your heart rate is getting, which is a nice visual indicator of how hard you are working. It also holds a charge for quite awhile, so I’m am not having to charge it every single time I want to use it. I can go lots of hours, maybe 15-20 hours if I had to guess, before it needs a recharge. In fact, I like this monitor so much I bought another one for my workout buddy. She likes it too. Nice mid-price heart rate monitor. Not a ton of bells and whistles, but then I prefer simple and straightforward, easy to use when it comes to electronic gadgets. Exactly what I was looking for.

I had been using the Wahoo tickr for DDPY for the last few years. I went through a few of them all of which I bought through Amazon. I had nothing but problems with them. Not connecting, losing connection in the middle of a workout, and dipping and spiking during workouts. I saw DDP selling this brand on his website, found it Amazon and ordered one, mostly because I could get replacement coverage after the warranty expires. I've been using it a few weeks and it has worked flawlessly, it was easy to setup through the app, you can set your zones in the app and easily tell by the color the monitor is blinking what zone you are in. The DDPY app found it and the zones are pretty close on both apps. I've had zero issues with it losing connection or being inaccurate. I workout between 90-120 minutes a day and after 7 days the battery is around 25 percent by day 7. It charges in less than 2 hours, which is better than dealing with a battery every few months. It's also much more comfortable than a chest strap and since it's on your arm it's easy to tell what zone your in. It also works if you have tattoos, something other arm and wrist HRMs can have issues with. Overall I'm really happy with this HRM it's taken some of the frustration out of working out! BANG!

I originally purchased this monitor to use with one of COOSPO's bike computers. I have now also used it successfully with a Garmin bike computer as well. This monitor has been very reliable and I am quite happy with it, especially for the price. I have had no issues with it so far and the battery lasts a long time. It pairs easily with other fitness devices and is easy to use. Th heart rate data seems just as accurate as other monitors I have tried. The only negative aspects of this monitor is that the charging cable seems to be proprietary vs. USB-C or micro-USB, so if you lose it you might have a problem. Otherwise this is a great monitor.

No problems in connecting to the app and getting readings. The problem is, the readings are insanely inaccurate. Charged it to a solid green loaded the app and configured it with my info and took it for a walk for about 30 minutes. It quickly started going into an aerobic state and 15 minutes into my walk I was in the red, which is 90 to 100 percent of my max heart rate. A few minutes later it started to buzz when I check the app on the phone it was reporting 175 beats per minute. Meanwhile, I feel fine and can't even feel my heart is beating. Out of curiosity, to make sure I am not having a heart attack I put on my Samsung watch and headed out again for the same route. The highest I ever managed to register was 120 beats per minute. Disappointing. I could understand a little off but 50 beats off per minute is too much. I left it on my arm overnight paired with my phone. Now, I know my typical oxygen/heartbeat pattern from multiple other devices. It regularly and throughout the night showed a minimum of a 25-to 30 beats over what my comparison sensor detected. In conclusion, as much as I like the idea of a light indicator reporting the range I am at but the amount of inaccuracy in completely unacceptable. Not recommended!..
