Worked very well. The universal attachment worked on my Equinox. Quickly made vacuum in system, and held well. Tank refill was quick and easy! No mess. We'll worth it!

Works well removing all the air trapped so there are no air pockets in the cooling system. I used my Milwaukee M18 compressor and that provided enough air to evacuate the cooling system on my 2006 Ford F-150 5.4L

The unit overall is well made and works once one understands the instructions are incorrect regarding pulling a vacuum. If one uses an air compressor and connects it to the venturi device, I would assume it will draw vacuum. However, if one follows the instructions to use a vacuum pump, no vacuum will be drawn unless the end of the blue venturi device is plugged off. I used my vacuum pump and plugged off the venturi port. Then I was able to pull all the way down to the required level. It's much nicer to use a pump as it much quieter. All that's needed to make this a 5-star unit is better instructions and a cap to seal off the venturi port.

I bought almost a year ago and just had to use it. Only downside was I had to change the connection to the air compressor to a differnt size. Was able to pull vacum and test for leaks. Filled up system to the point that only had to add a little coolant to tank. After test drive did not have to top off. No air in system.

I admit that I almost gave up getting this tool to work.I was trying to use one of the adapters on the coolant reservoir, but I couldn't get it to achieve a vacuum. I was about to pack it up and return it, and then I decided to give the cone shaped adapter a try. The cone worked. I had to press down on it to get it started, and it probably didn't do the best job holding a vacuum (it's easy to wobble a little), but it held it long enough for me to switch hoses and add coolant. I might have been able to get one of the adapters to work, but once I started making progress with the cone, I stuck with it.The other point of confusion is the instruction that says to use a container. I wasn't sure what was happening at this point. The answer is that it takes more than one try to get a vacuum and add coolant. On subsequent tries pumping up more vacuum, a spray comes out of the venturi. You can put a bottle over the end, as shown in the listing. Tubing would also work, but really even a rag is probably sufficient. Not much actual liquid comes out. It's just a little annoying when a fine mist of coolant sprays out. Once I realized this, the rest of the process went smoothly. It is also worth noting that it came with the American air adapter already attached. The other one is included, if needed, along with some pipe tape.I'm used to gauges with units in PSI, but it doesn't really matter. I just need to know when there is vacuum and when there isn't. Given that it only takes a few seconds to go from zero vacuum to full vacuum, the gauge is only needed for confirmation that vacuum is achieved, and knowing when it's time to pump it up again. It sounds like they were listening to the comments people leave. The other comment I saw was the lack of directions. The included directions are the same steps listed in the Amazon listing, which is apparently more than they used to include. The listing also has a short video, which is terse but helpful. If you need more help, watch some videos of people using similar tools so you can see what is supposed to happen.I appreciate that this is primarily made of metal, and it appears to be quite sturdy. It is definitely of sufficient quality for the few times I am likely to use it.So, bottom line, did it work? I think it sucked most of the air out, and it definitely pulled coolant out of the bottle. I was doing this with the car up on ramps, so I'm not positive what the fluid level was when I finished the process, or if the position of the car impacted the performance of the tool. After driving the car around, I did top off the reservoir, but just to get it from the min up to the max. If that's all I have to do, then I think it was worth the bother of using this tool.

Impossible to use. The gauge flops around and will not hold vacuum long enough to add antifreeze. It has no instructions other than a single sheet of chicken scratching (Chinese). Chocked it up to a learning moment and sent it to the garbage.

If you're doing any kind of radiator work, this is worth having around. There's no guess work. This thing is awesome, you put the fitting in the reservoir, hook up the venturi suction thingy, it puts a vacuum on there, you lock in the vacuum and then you suck in all the coolant. Done. No more of this hoping you got out all of the bubbles business. It's fast and it works.

I bought this to fix an over heating problem after I changed the thermostat and radiator hoses on my Jeep jk. Worked great. The system was fully purged in 10 minutes and the engine temperature stayed right in the middle of the temp gauge on the test drive in 90 degree weather with the AC on.The quality is good. With aluminum and brass construction. I dropped the gauge part on a concrete floor with no damage. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star recommendation was the male fitting for the air line needed to be changed from European to US. No big deal. But I have to remove it to get in back in the box.I definitely recommend this tool. Well worth the money.
