I just received both the 7” and the 8.25” grate sizes and haven’t had a chance to actually use them other than to test fit them, but my main concern was the fit on my Trangia 25 and 27. As you can see in the pictures, both grate sizes fit inside the notches of the pot/pan rests on both models universally. The Trangia 25 with the 7” grate is almost too small, however it does fit and cannot fall because the opposite side of the grate hits the sidewall of the Trangia before it can slide any more. So, with that being said, I am 100% confident in the 7” and the 8.25” grates fitting both Trangia’s without issue. Also, the weight of the 7” grate comes in at 119gr or 4.15oz, and the 8.25” grate comes in at 158gr or 5.55oz. Both grate sizes seem to have very good build quality and didn’t have any sharp overhanging wire pieces at the welds like some other brands I have tried.I figured these grates would provide more opportunity for use than the Trangia Storm Cooker pan stands by having the ability to use them with other stoves or even laid across a couple of rocks with a stick fire to roast veggies or whatever. As I said, I haven’t put fire to them yet, but I don’t expect any problems, if any arise, I will come back and update my review. I hope this helps.

I bought this grill (or grid) for a specific use: to be able to use a larger MSR 1 liter pot and a regular nonstick kitchen skillet (e.g. a Greenpan) with my Trangia 27 (smaller size) Stormcooker set. This fits perfectly (see photos). Exactly 7” diameter. A side benefit is moving pots further from the burner to simmer. Nicely welded stainless steel construction; high quality. Excellent addition to my travel and camping kit.

I bake sourdough bread in a cast iron/ceramic coated dutch oven, and it turns out great, except the bottom id always hard. Very difficult to cut. This lifts the bread up just a bit so I can control the direct heat. I use parchment paper as well. The rack is slightly convex, but that doesn’t bother anything. I bake with the rack for the first part of baking, then remove it for the last part at lower temperature for best results!

I needed a 6” round sturdy grate for my glass air fryer because the one that came with it was rusting and flimsy so I saw this and gave it a try and was extremely happy with the sturdiness of it, the rust resistance and the ease of cleaning it! I do need to find one with finer grates in the same quality though, as this is great for meats, fish, chicken and small items but not great for veggies or fries, which fell through. It was also a great price!

I put it in the bottom of my Dutch oven and it keeps the bottom crust of my sourdough bread from getting too tough. It worked wonderfully in fact I just ordered two more for my other pots.

I needed a low-rise rack to use for several purposes, including slightly elevating a pan in a small electric skillet. Seems well made and fits my cooking and baking needs well. Would also be useful as a small cooling rack. It is small so select the size that meets your needs. I am pleased with this rack and would recommend the company's cooling racks.
