Customers also use these on other hard surfaces such as stone and marble. They are available in 16,17,20" and 27" diameters and a range from 30-1500 grits. These pads can be mounted on the bottom of low speed floor buffers, auto scrubbers, and propane burnishers. These pads will open the surface of flat concrete and hone the surface to properly accept a densifier/hardener and continue to hone and polish to 1500 grit. Smaller grits (30-100) are ideal for quick preparation for coatings and overlays. The pad can be flipped over and used for cleaning or burnishing. Best used wet on a low speed buffer.

I'd like to thank the negative reviewers for trying to save me from this $400 purchase. Hopefully someone reading this will take their advice and keep looking for concrete polishing solutions. I bought all the grits and rented the machine from Home Depot. The pads probably worked for 200 square feet, if that. And even that section wasn't polished well. And I was wet polishing. If the slab was dry, these things would probably last 30 seconds. I'm not sure for what application these would be worth $100 each.

Did around 1800sq ft dry with a with a 50grit 20” low speed swing machine… makes a ton of dust so wear a respirator, I did do a small 25sq ft area wet and it made a lot of mud. But be aware of cracks or deep chips or any other obstruction in the surface as it will tear up the pad really fast. I polished a couple test spots to 1500 and one wet and one dry and it’s amazing how nice they turned out

It gets the job done. Only snag, is the diamond discs fall off after 20 min of use. Pad still worked though.

I used this to clean up some left over thinset and glue residue after pulling up tile in the Kitchen, dining room, and entry. It also did a great job on self leveler I put into some of the big voids of top finish that came out when pulling the tile. While buffing I used water to keep the dust down, and then slopped the slurry into a bucket and let it dry out. There is still a fine dust residue, but nothing too bad. Seriously loved this pad! I am a DIYer without much experience and I've got plenty of life left on the pad to do the other rooms in my house, when I get to them.

Resin dots cracked after a few hours of use. According to the seller 8 hours of use is plenty out of these pads. For a large job you would need several of these. Not cost effective. There are plenty of other options that will last longer than these pads (resin or electroplated). The pad it self works ok with litle to no scratching marks but cannot recomend due to extremely short life.

I have been using dna pads for years. I am very familiar with how they work. In fact, I have ordered through this seller before. These pads usually last about 4000 to 6000 square feet. This pad is almost worn away after 200 sqft. I professed from a 30 grit, to a 50 grit, then 12 passes with a 100 grit. This pad is almost destroyed after 15 minutes. I am really unhappy with this purchase. I ordered a 400 grit as well and now I’m afraid to use it. At $100 bucks each, they should last more than 15 min. And yes the surface was prepared properly.
