These gloves seem like they would work really well if you have big hands, but as I have smaller hands, they don't fit and I am having to return them unfortunately.

I bought these for my teenage daughter who is learning to cook but is afraid of the oven. Not only did she feel comfortable getting hot pans out of the oven, she wore them when frying chicken and the gloves covered her wrists from the spluttering oil!

Twice now I’ve pulled sheet pans out of a 425F oven and both times, I could barely hold them long enough to get them from the over to the counter.My wife actually burnt her hand.I have no idea how they can advertise these for up to 1,400F.They’re ok for stuff coming out of a 350F oven. But much over that and you don’t have long to let go before you’re feeling the heat.

I love that these gloves go up my arm as I have a double oven and I use the upper oven more than the lower one. Unfortunately, the upper oven is a bit high so when I am loading or unloading, I often burn my arms so these gloves help with that. One thing that bothers me is that these gloves claim to be heat resistant to 1472 degrees, but I have felt a burn through the gloves from handling casseroles dishes from the oven at 350-400 degrees, so be warned. Also, these gloves run big, they seem to be more suited for a man's hand. With that said, I still would recommend them for handling hot dishes from the oven with caution.

I was baking bread in a Dutch oven at 475 using pot holders to pull it out of the oven. A slight slip and burned the back side of my thumb. I’ve never been burned doing this before. It’s not the burn but it’s how long it takes to heal. Burns are no fun.I bought these gloves a week after and have used them twice. The gloves work great. Long enough for your forearms and good for your hands. A bit bulky but that’s expected from the padding. You feel a bit of heat from high temps but good protection. I like these gloves

I purchased these gloves to replace some old oven mitts that bit the dust a while ago. I used them the first time while seasoning a new cast iron pan and am happy to report that even though the pan was over 450 degrees Fahrenheit the gloves held up and blocked all the heat perfectly. I purchased them on sale and would have gladly paid the extra $5 if I had to knowing now how well they work. I would definitely recommend them.
