Lamp Harps connect to lamp bases. The two bottom “legs” attach below the lamp’s socket in the “saddle”. They fit over a lamp's light bulb, simultaneously protecting the bulb and providing support for the lampshade.
Our Lamp Harp Sets accommodate standard light bulb sizes, allowing enough room between the harp and the bulb to prevent overheating.
What Size of Lamp Harp Do You Need?
In order for the bottom of your lampshade to sit below your lamp’s light socket, you’ll need the right size of harp. Select a harp that's at least 2 inches shorter than the height of your lampshade. If you would like a more dramatic look, with your lampshade covering a portion of your lamp’s base, choose a harp that’s 4-8 inches shorter than the height of your lampshade.

Exactly the right size but the welded top was out of alignment. Had to do a lot of work to get the shade to hang straight.

We had found a beautiful pink glass and brass lamp at an antique store out of town. When we brought it back to the Flour Box Tearoom, we found that it was in need of an accessory upgrade. So we ordered this harp (among other things) off Amazon to replace the existing harp. The old harp was misshaped and was actually the wrong size. We learned a lot about lamp size ratios from our glass and brass lamp project. We measured and calculated and measured again and finally settled on this harp. It works great and places our shade at just the right height for the lamp.

The lamp harp I ordered is attractive and well made. My only complaints are that there are no half sizes for a perfect match in height and the size is not stamped on the underside of the filial for future reference.
