Nice enough little kit. My 10-year-old was knitting by herself in no time. Not much yarn but she says it was enough to do whatever little projects it came with.

Haven't knitted in years. As I have compromised hands I was worried I would not be able to knit again. I found the large sized needles perfect for all hands. The wool was of sufficient weight to allow ease of use. I actually knitted my first square in 45 years and it looks like a square!!!! I did have to go on line to remember how to cast on and cast off. My suggestions would be - the how-to book gives you ideas of things to knit....however, I would suggest getting a darning needle if you plan on making the bunny. Also better instruction on actual stitches.

I’ve tried to take up knitting a couple times. This is my favorite starter kit and the one I actually finished a project with. The book and videos are very clear. The projects simple either for a beginner. And I did enjoy it wasn’t just knitting but pompom and stitching to make the final project.

This kit is very cute and friendly. The projects are thoughtfully chosen so you're learning and practicing something fundamental that you will build on. I have made the bunny and the gloves and am extremely pleased. The booklet included with the kit has colored images that helped me the few times I got confused. Thanks, Granny Squirrel!
