Product Installation
Preparation: Clean the surface to be adhered where the compass will be installed to remove any dirt
Attach the Base: Peel off the protective film from the adhesive sticker on the base of the compass, carefully position the base on the cleaned surface
Press Firmly: Keeping it's in a location that's easy to view and won't interfere with other dashboard controls, press firmly to secure the base in place
Final Check: Once installed, give the compass a gentle shake to keep it's securely mounted and not loose. Verify that the compass is functioning correctly by checking the direction indications

It has a clean and simple design, seems durable, and came with mounting tape. But I bought this because I wanted a dashboard compass on my offroad vehicle. The description says for car and dashboard. It doesn’t work in the car. Most traditional compasses must be a little ways from any metal or magnetic items. Even holding it in the air in the cabin area of the car, it still doesn’t read correctly. I could only get it to work well away from and outside any of the cars. So, this is a failure to fill the need for which I purchased it.

If you have a modern car it will not work on the dash. It is too sensitive to the electronics of the car. Throws the direction way off.
