This wine opener is awesome! It’s so easy to open a bottle of wine and the label cutter is great too. I have been using this style for years and I bought this one for a friend who used to be a bar tender and never used this before and loves it. The only reason I gave it a four star is because of the plastic it is made of mine is metal.

Love that this is similar to a name brand kitchen company that hosts at home parties, for a fraction of the price. Works perfectly!

Love this thing. So easy to use, squeeze, lever up/down, done. Fun to show it off to friends, they're always dumbfounded by the simplicity. Appears well made and durable. The only downside is the size (it's a bit large) and finding somewhere to store it in my small kitchen.

Had a similar product that worked great for several years, but got worn out when you went to release the Cork from the screw. Glad to have one that works 100%.

Opens bottles very quickly and easily, better than any opener I have used. This is the heaviest opener I have had, too, though most of the weight is in the grip of the handle. Most of opener is a hard plastic, except the handle, guide rod, screw, screw cap, and pins holding it together, but it feels sturdy and strong. It is designed to stand-up, with a flat edge on the base of the handle. It does do that, but the end is narrow, so it is easily knocked over.It didn't seem to operate smoothly when I first tested it before opening a bottle, so I used teflon lubricant on all the joints, the guide rod and the channels. After that, it worked very smoothly. I have had to do that with other openers of this style, too.One issue I have found with this style of opener, this opener included, is that the cap holding the screw in place tends to loosen a bit each time it is used, so I need to check/tighten it every several or so bottles. These openers also sometimes have issues with plastic and composite corks, but the vast majority of wine I drink uses natural cork, so I have not yet experienced that with this opener. For those rarities, I have my "wine angel" - the style with handles that raise up as the screw goes into the cork when this style does not work. I like my wine angel, but this style opens bottles far quicker and easier. The included foil cutter is just a cheap plastic one, which does work, but those types are not designed to last. However, I did not buy this for the cutter, which I don't need.Overall, after about a dozen bottles opened, I am impressed with how well it works.

Battery, rechargeable, openers, cork pullers. They promise you everything, like, "Will open 40 bottles of wine on one charge." Maybe you had good luck, but we did not. The rechargeable openers work great out of the box, but soon get weak batteries, or a dull screw, or a bent screw, or dirty charging contacts. The Maître de (type) corkscrew, is for pros, not fun at home. The lever pullers, like this one, just work reliably, until the screw gets too dull, and you replace it with the spare they give you. It takes a slight bit of effort to use, but if you can't mange that, it is time to take a break from drinking wine, (or switch to screw caps). There are two versions of these lever cork pullers. This one, clamps onto the bottle by closing the handles in the vertical direction. The other version swings the bottle clamp handles in from the sides. They both work. Vertical clamp is lighter, Side clamping type is easier to hold. If your arm is good for opening 40 bottles, then no problem, this will do it.
