This little shovel is no joke! It's made from thick gauge metal and straight gets with it when you have to dig something up. It packs down perfectly into the bag that it comes with. There are multiple ways to use this adding to its overall functionality. It's great for small, tight places, and utility work. It's extremely durable and made to be used, and still last a long time. Overall, this is a great price and went well beyond my expectations.

I think this is a decent shovel. I mean, it'll definitely be handy to have in a one-off or short period situation. Would I consider this as my primary shovel? Not really. But I would definitely be glad to have it over not having one at all.The shovel works. Don't get me wrong. In fact, I think it'll be handy for a while. But my confidence in its overall strength and durability just isn't quite there. Like I said, I do like this shovel. I just don't love it. Great for latrines or a Dakota fire hole... so yes, the necessities. But please don't try to use the serrated edge or hammer something in with it. It's just not strong enough, I fear, to take that kind of beating too much.Comes with a little bag for your tac bag too.I hope you liked my review. I always try really hard to write reviews are are candid, honest, and helpful for your shopping decisions. No AI here... all the poor writing is mine and mine alone! :-P

Works great for unwanted relatives. Only complaint was it takes quite a long time to dig six feet down with this being of smaller size.

What impressed me most about this product was the bag that came with it. The pattern is solid and it is really well made. The shovel is not bad either, but it is not as sturdy as I'd like, but it works. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to fold it back up, but taking it out is easy. I am pretty happy with what I got.

The Compact Shovel with Pick and Hoe has proven to be an excellent addition to my camping gear, offering versatility and durability in a compact design.Design and PortabilityOne of the standout features of this shovel is its compact size. When folded, it fits neatly into the included tactical camo bag, making it incredibly easy to carry in a backpack or attach to a belt loop. Weighing in at just a few pounds, it doesn’t add significant bulk to your gear, which is a major plus when you're trying to keep your pack light.Build QualityThe quality of this shovel is impressive for its size. The materials used feel robust and well-constructed, and it doesn't give the impression of being flimsy or likely to break under pressure. Whether you're digging a fire pit, clearing a tent area, or even managing some minor landscaping tasks at your campsite, this tool proves to be versatile.FunctionalityIn terms of performance, the shovel excels. It digs efficiently and the pick is strong enough to break through tougher ground. I've used it on a variety of surfaces, from rocky terrain to sandy soil, and it has held up admirably. I have found myself needing the services of a tactical shovel while hiking in the mountains, and while driving during heavy snowfall. Keeping a full-sized spade would make no sense at all, and would be quite difficult to carry on a hike, or keep in my truck. I've been looking for a good, solid tactical shovel, so I decided to try this one out. So far, it does what I need it to do.PROSIt's very compact, and comes with its own carrying bag, so storage is easy. I have not had any trouble finding a place for it in my day pack, and it stores under my back seat in my truck. There's a little spike on it, which I found highly useful for helping to dig a latrine on a long hike. It can also be folded out of the way if you really don't need it.The serrated edge of the blade is pretty nice, and comes in handy from time to time. I actually sawed a small tree branch on one of my hikes, because I had this, but did not have my machete with me.CONSDespite not being terribly difficult to figure out, it did not come with any instructions on how to operate or set everything up, so it was a bit of a learning curve. Not a huge setback, but it would have been nice to have some solid instructions for this.It feels alright for now, but some of the major outdoor equipment brands definitely feel more solid and better built, but they also come with much higher price tags. I will be curious to see how this holds up over time.VERDICTThis is a decent trenching tool/shovel, with some cool features, like a pick and a serrated edge. It's compact and easy to store, and fits comfortable in a backpack. I just wonder about the overall build quality, and how long this will realistically last.
