The clock display consists of 288 individual size 0603 SMD LEDs (Green), size 0805 RES/CAPs. 8 SMD ICs,with 3 thru-hole components.Without a Hot-Air Rework Station and/or a Precision Soldering Station (0.5 mm tip), microscope, and precision hand tools (tweezers, probes, etc.) - this is not a project that will fail to frustrate less than a seasoned hand.I enjoyed the project, I needed no instruction, just applied years of acquired electronic knowledge and a modicum of 'elbow grease'If there are only 6 open slots for U1-U5 (UX number is the only label), and you have 6 ICs left over, the logic dictates that they go together. This is the type of thinking required to complete this GREAT project.Please be well and happy!

This was a great SMD project. If you take your time and solder neatly (I used a hotair rework station) things will go fine. Plenty of spare components were included. Like other reviewers mentioned, this did not come with instructions, but the board is labeled sufficiently for assembly.Clock and date setup were not hard to learn.Mine came with green LEDs not blue like I thought. No big deal.Clock is running problem free. No flickering and seems accurate so far.For the price this was great!

チップledが面倒、裏側を確認しないと向きがわからなかった。0.3の糸ハンダが使いやすいと思います、0.6ではちよっと難しいと感じた。電源入れると案の定5ヶ所ledの不具合、2本のハンダごて使って修正。ledは10個以上余分に入っていました。

you are your own because you don't have any instructions and you need a soldering iron to put it together but other wise pretty good

This kit is good practice for advanced SMD soldering. The display consists of a little less than 300 0604 LEDs and there were some SMD chips, resistors and capacitors. If you haven't done surface mount before, this is probably not a good starting point. Assembly entertained me for a few evenings.The kit comes with no instructions but there are few enough parts that it's pretty easy to figure out what goes where. The PC board is very nice and they are very generous with the LEDs, resistors and capacitors which is good because the LEDs are almost impossible to find if you drop them.The clock is probably not worth the effort as it's hard to read, as the LED's are blue and flicker. I can't tell the time across the room. The setup 'menu' is odd and hard to follow without instructions. Setting the date starts with the minutes, then the hour, then seconds, then the day and month. The room temperature is in Celsius and I haven't figured out if it can be set to Fahrenheit.It was a fun project and I didn't expect much, so I wasn't disappointed. If you're looking for a usable clock, probably best to look on.

Take your time. Put a dab of solder on one side. With tweezers, hold the SMD component and solder one side. Watch the heat setting and set it below 300c. The clock works well when done right. The only complaint i have is there are no directions for operating.

There are NO instructions. When sent a request for them the reply was, in effect, "wing it!" It is not intuitive construction with no idea what it needs to look like on the path to or when finished. You may have an idea what it is looking like when finished from the pictures on the web but the path from delivered kit to the web-based picture is a a long and incomplete path. I FIRMLY ADVISE ANYONE EXCEPT THE CREATOR TO AVOID THIS KIT!

＊LEDの色を変更しています1608のLED288個（コロン8個を含む）のはんだ付けが大変でした。フラット型のICが、制御用、ドライバ、クロックなど8個あるが、足の間隔があまり狭くないためさほど難しくないと思います。

I've put together numerous electronic kits including ones with SMDs. I can read schematics and troubleshoot electronics. BE AWARE - these SMDs are very TINY! You will need tweezers and magnifying glasses or headset. I suggest practice soldering SMDs before tackling this kit.IMPORTANT: No instructions included with kit and the kit is NOT intuitive. I sent message to seller requesting instructions.They sent PDF instructions BUT THEY ARE IN CHINESE. I've tried a number of translation to English services, none work. The instruction pictures in the PDF's do not help. Even after I assemble this kit just setting the time and date will be a challenge due to lack of instructions.TO SELLER:THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO REQUEST INSTRUCTIONS! They should be included with the kit or a URL link provided. INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD BE CLEAR AND WRITTEN IN ENGLISH!The quality of the components is OK. PC board printed symbols for SMDs are hard to read, even with magnification. There are A LOT of SMD LEDs and they are not all the same so it is imperative they are soldered in the correct location. Poor printed symbol quality on the PCB will make that almost impossible.I do not have much faith I will be able to assemble this kit successfully.Wouldn't have purchased this kit if I knew there were no English instructions available. I've found a lot of other Chinese electronic kit vendors on Amazon are not providing instructions with their kits. They require you to send a request and most send back Chinese written instructions that will not translate.I wish I had not purchased this kit!
