well, I purchased 2 new comp cams for 2 different small block applications, comp stated that I needed to use a distributor that was spec for a hydraulic roller cam, which I purchased, but both applications failed before even a year., talked to comp tech services and they had no idea why this occurred, what I discovered was the suggested distributor metal was a stronger metal than the cam gear. why would he suggest using this application? what is cheaper and easier to correct a cam ? or distributor gear ? well, I purchased 2 new cams and spent hours re-replacing them. The 2 distributor gears on the distributor were replaced with the new poly gears and have been in place for 8 years, comp instructions said to install new gears 90 degrees to the old location and redrill securing pin to spec, I believe my new gears were predrilled, buyer beware of comp tech support and heir lower quality products

Gear itself looks well made. When I received the gear, it had .531 printed directly on the side of the gear. I called Comp and they stated .531 is correct, but all literature online and in their catalog states this 35100 gear states it is .530. My distributor shaft is .530, so this gear slip fit onto the shaft without any pressing and will not work as is.

I used this as a replacement for a reoccurring issue. The Iron gears would go out after ~4yrs and take out the cam gear. I didn't want soft gears that only last 1yr either. It has been a couple years now, and all is good. BTW, I'm using this on a 1998 3.8 V6 Mustang. It fits great!

Does not fit what it is suppose to fit. Had to reorder. Information on your site is limited. Please be more concise. I am now out $100.00 for this gear.
