At first I thought the quality and color of this chain was wonderful. I made a simple, single-strand necklace and wore it on my neck, at home, for just a bit. I didn't shower, I didn't put on lotion or perfume. The metal smell was quite strong and it began irritating my neck after about six hours. So I took it off and was shocked to see that it had completely oxidized. The shiny, rose-gold was totally replaced by a grimy dark color.As an Accredited Jewelry Professional and jewelry designer, I work almost every day with stainless steel chains. This has never, ever happened to me. I've simply never seen anything like it and it confuses me. This chain can't be stainless steel, but I was fooled in the beginning to think so. This product is clearly being sold on Amazon as a rose-gold plated stainless steel chain, but stainless steel doesn't behave like this, especially so rapidly. The lobster claw clasps are on the larger side so I had to use a different one that I already had. The clasp remained the same while the chain oxidized. It's no good.I'm disappointed and would not recommend that anyone purchase these chains.

I used this beautiful chain to hang glass orbs (which balls) from ceiling and windows. Fishing line will eventually out and break. The chain has a pretty look, and gives a much stronger protection. What I didn’t need to ypuse, I am using 8t in my jewelry making.
