This speaker mic does work adequately and I am getting relatively poor audio reports from my contacts compared to the built in Kenwood mic. Hard to beat at this price and I am going to need to upgrade to a Kenwood speaker mic.

This is a very good mix for a low cost. It's got strong clips on it which have been an issue for me with other mics. Good durability and weather resistance.

This isn't your typical cheapo speaker mic - it's build quality is right up there with the Motorola mics I used to get for our old analog radios. The plastic housing is heavy duty with a substantial adjustable clip. The coiled wire is a heavier than normal gauge with good stress reliefs on each end. Volume is loud and clear, voice clarity is very good. The 3.5mm jack allows you to connect an earpiece directly to the speaker for more covert operation. Have quite a few of these, will absolutely purchase more when needed. Had one which was DOA out of approx 15 that I've owned, seller was quick to replace. 110% recommended. They also have a version of this mic with the old Motorola plug type which fits the CP200 series radios, can highly recommend those as well.

I recently bought a Baofeng BF-F8HP and bought the Baofeng hand mic that is supposed to go with it. Unfortunately the Baofeng hand mic wouldn't key the radio. I returned it and bought his one and it works great! It's got a nice weight to it and feels good in the hand. The speaker on it sounds better than the one on the radio and the audio reports are good too.If you have a Baofeng radio, get this hand mic! It's a little more expensive, but well worth it!
