They sell you a box with stickers like that in the picture. Obviously, it is certified for use somewhere in China and you got the specifications. Grease trap designs are about the same, effectiveness will vary somewhat. For me, it's starting from zero so I have no worries as long as the box doesn't leak. For commercial kitchens, all you have to do is to put it under the sink. Extend the drain pipe or tube into the box via the hole at the top. Then put the outlet tube into the floor drain. There's virtually no installation. It's a different story for a residential kitchen. I can't find anything significantly smaller. I have a reverse osmosis system under the sink with a 4 gal tank. I have no way to put it without wasting a lot of space. I ended up making a little stand so the box can sit on top of the P-trap. I also took out the cabinet bottom and tile the whole under sink directly on the concrete floor. The bottom was broken anyway and I gained a lot of space. We still need a P-trap after the box to prevent sewage gas from coming back. The threaded outlet is compatible with US 1.5-inch under-sink drain pipes and fittings. You can't use the flexible tube that comes with it. You need to get a tailpiece for kitchen sinks with a washer/seal. And plumb it into the P-trap.The hole on the top ends up being the right choice. If it's on the side, you need leak-free plumbing that will take up a lot of space. I thought of making the box airtight so there will be no smells. But the plumbing is already hard and there's no space for anything else. If it smells, it will be time to neutralize it, draining the grease or cleaning. As it is, the lid can easily be opened and the box can be pulled out after disconnecting the pipes by hand. The inside partitions aren't sealed. That means there is only one water level and that's at the bottom of the outlet drain.I have to join the drain from two sinks and drop them into the box. The difficulty is that the airgap for everything uses a stupid 7/8 inch rubber tube, a legacy from garbage disposals. I can't find any other drain tube that is flexible. The rubber tube is stiff and I don't want to redo that part of the old plumbing. So I have to use 4 flexible sections to join everything high up under the sink because my box sits high up there.I put off installing a grease trap for decades. Occasional augering with a drill isn't that much work in comparison. Recently, someone cooks like a chef. I replaced the leaking faucet with a commercial pull-down set. I was just about to install the box when the drain was blocked, so bad that I exhausted all the methods that I had success. I had to buy a $200+ auger and finally succeeded. That's my motivation.Updates after two months:I can't say how effective it is but it does trap grease. The top inlet hole turns out to be negative. It's rather hard to do the occasional maintenance cleaning. If the outlet is at the sides, you can just lift off the lid. You can't seal the lid airtight unless you plumb the inlet pipe into the hole and seal it. But then you have to disconnect everything to service the grease trap. There are grease traps with an elbow at the outlet side so sewage gas will always be blocked by water in the grease trap. You don't need a p-trap at the outlet. At the moment, the grease trap is sitting too high above the p-trap making connections awkward. And there's no headroom to service the grease trap.If you release a whole sink of water at once, the grease trap may overflow. It's not foolproof. To mitigate the disaster, there are grease traps with flow control at the inlet, and the lid can be tightly sealed. My pipes are recovering from the once-in-20-year blockage. I can't guarantee that the pipes are in tip-top condition even with a grease trap installed. I'm thinking to use some clear pipes to indicate the dangerous water level when backup begins.

Basically a stainless box with baffles to trap grease. Does trap grease, time will tell how effectively. Price was very good. No instructions for this particular unit, but plenty of installation videos on YouTube.
