These work great with the books my son wanted to store under his bed. They are well-protected and work great for storage.

Great case, well constructed but not wide enough for all comics. Doesn't fit bagged and boarded Golden Age books, nor will it fit any comics protected in Top Loaders. Will only work if these items are placed in 2 side by side short rows rather than one after another, front to back.

Literally 2 days after filling, my wife knocked a glass on the box without noticing. Sat there all night and nothing got through to the comics.

I haven't tested it in a fire but comics are completely comfy in it I did purchase 2 and I can say around 250ish comics fit in each. The locking system is not for someone that is grown trying to get in it's to keep kids or curious people out. It's looks like it will do well in a fire. Either way I feel ways safer now then in the cardboard box I had them in. Feels strong seems worth the money storage 250ish comics. Do not stack. 5 stars if I knew it would stand victorious in a fire.

Now I'm not a crazy big graded collector like a few reviewers here but I'd still like to protect my comics just in case the worse happens.I've so far bought 4 of these and may buy more depending on how many more comics I collect.I've been buying the Spawn compendiums and as you can see from these photos they hold them great! I'm sure if you're an avid Invincible compendium collector they'll works perfectly as well.I also collect smaller omnibuses and issues and they fit perfectly in these as well (so you'd hope). The case is durable enough to be able to hold a good bunch of comics and weight from compendiums with no problem at all which is fantastic.*Note*If you collect taller sized comic books like some of the collected Marvel omnibuses like for example I have the Spider-verse omnibus and it has a paper sleeve over a hardcover. When putting it in this box and closing it may bend the top of the sleeve. I personally don't mind a crazy amount because I mean you're gonna be reading the comic unless you're collecting. If you are collecting it and it comes in a wrap then don't remove the wrap if you don't want a damaged sleeve.Otherwise than that it's an awesome product and I'm sure most people won't be tossing very large books in these anyway but if you do that's the only warning I give about these. I'll keep buying these bad boys even if it's for my manga or larger sketching books because they're awesome and fit in while on their side.Perfect for collectors or people who don't want to rebuy their comics if the worse were to happen.

Material is durable and sturdy, yet gentle on the inside for safe comic protection. The lock feels a little stiff, but no sign of being flimsy or of breaking any time soon. The handles are heavy duty, and the overall look is sleek and professional. Comics fit PERFECTLY! It’s like tucking them into a cozy bed. The only thing that would make this product better is if it came with something to keep comics propped up when the case isn’t full. I’m using cut cardboard for now and it works just fine though.Overall would highly recommend for anyone looking for something to keep their comics safe!

Bought these for the comic book collection I have been collecting in cardboard boxes for years. Putting them in these boxes with cardboard back and plastic bags is a game charger. They are safer now.

I haven't done any testing for fire or water but the water -resistant part seems accurate. The exterior material is very nice and the CGC cases fit perfectly. It's very sturdy and well made and does look great I will be buying again if I can get the same price I originally paid. FYI - I haven't used the lock but seems fine to keep kids out etc...

After spending a ton of money on a very rickety set of wooden comic book boxes, I discovered these ones, switched to them, and I'm never going back. They are great, and I wouldn't use anything else. It is worth sating that I'm writing this review after having purchased my first box about about a year ago (if not more). They are all still in perfect condition, and most importantly, so are my comics. These boxes are easy to move around, which makes it easy to take them to comic book conventions and stores when I want to sell some my stuff. They also have a handy dandy lock, which is nice (I don't use the lock). As my collection shifts and changes, these boxes make it easy for me to keep tack of what I have and to move it around. I love them so much, I bought a document case from the same company. I would 100% recommend these boxes.

I am revising my review and adding two stars. After my initial impression, I have found that these boxes offer much more protection than I originally thought. In a fire situation, these zippered vinyl boxes would be a Godsend. Provided that the locking zippers stay locked, these boxes could actually be tossed out of a first-floor window without opening up. If the books are packed in the box tightly, there would be limited jostling around. A fire is a panic situation, and things need to be done fast. The scenario I just described would be much preferable to carrying the boxes out the front door. The firemen and hoses would block the way; tossing them out a side window might be the best and quickest option. These boxes are very well made, almost to the point of excess. I cannot find a faulty seam or zipper anywhere, so the chance of one opening up is slim to none. This is a good product. Buy with confidence!I have found that the only good use I’ve gotten from this product is to use it to transport or transfer comic books from one location to another. I.e. moving them from one room to another, or from your home to a storage locker or a convention and back. The zipper provides a means whereby the comic books will not fall out of the box during transport, which is very convenient. As far as long-term storage is concerned, however, I’ll stick with the cardboard boxes. Neither this product nor a cardboard box is waterproof, although it is more water repellant than a box. It would offer some protection in a drizzle or light rain. Anything beyond that and I would be concerned with water creeping in through the zipper, especially in a heavy rain. Additionally, if the item were to be submerged in water it would go right through the seams and zipper. The vinyl would hold it back for a short while, but eventually it would seep through. If you are constantly moving your comics around, then this would be a good option for you. This “box” also offers protection of your comics against cat or dog intrusion. I think it’s ideally suited for convention use if you are not a big dealer. However, at $30 USD it is a bit overpriced. I would have walked away happier with a $20 price tag. Then, I think, it would have deserved 4 stars.
