No chemical smell. No plastic smell. No bright LED lights to disturb in the darkness. Accurate temperature control. No loud beeps. I have been thru several heaters and the most common issues are 1) Chemical smell, 2) Plastic smell, 3) Bright LED lights, and 4) Inaccurate thermostats. This little heater doesn't have any of those problems. Also, it has tip-over protection, over-heat protection, and an eco function.

I love this compact heater. When my comfort zone previous heater broke I was so afraid I wasn't going to find anything comparable. This heater is great and puts out a lot of heat. I like the idea it turns off if I happen to knock it over by accident. I've had it less than a month so I don't know if it's an energy saver or not but I'm glad I made the purchase

My family had one of these for about seven years before it kicked the bucket. It was used at least once a day! Glad the brand still makes the same model! The size is an added bonus for storage.

I like how it only will turn on if it’s sitting on a flat surface, that’s good protection if it tips. I also like how even though there’s no temp gauge, it will stop heating or kick on as needed. I also like that even if it’s been running for a while, when I move it to a different room it’s not hot on the outside and I can carry it.The outside is made of hard plastic, so it’s not something I’d drop or beat up too much, but for the most part it seems durable. It feels its cost, not too cheap but not expensive either. It’s small, I was surprised at how small it was because the last electric heaters I owned (years ago) were at least a couple feet tall (and usually rotated like a fan). This doesn’t rotate, but it does the job. I don’t find it to be too loud, but it’s not silent either. I’d put it on par with a box fan on medium? Or an older house when the heat kicks on and comes out of floor vents. You can hear it, but it’s easy to ignore (for me anyway). I almost notice it more when it stops rather than when it’s on.It’s fairly powerful. In my 10’x10’ living room I turn it to about 65% and keep it on energy saver mode. Within a couple minutes it’s very comfortable. My bedroom is a little smaller (and I also have the heater closer to me) so I keep it on about 35% and energy saver mode and that’s plenty. My apartment only has one central heater in the kitchen, it does a decent job, but my living room and bedroom don’t get as warm. I got this little heater have in those rooms when I need a little boost (then I’m not cranking my heat way up and increasing my gas bill).

These are good little heaters and sturdy too. Mine has taken a dozen hard falls and works fine. This one I bought from Amazon is just a back-up for my old one and I'll leave it in the box.The price was certainly right!

Initially I checked it and ran it for about 15 seconds on low. Everything seemed fine. Yesterday I wanted to warm up my bathroom a little so I turned it on to high and it made a horrible rattle noise. I picked it up and a very small nut fell out. I thought it was just a lose piece of hardware, but, that did not stop the noise. It is not SAFE!!! I would give it a zero if that was an option!! Very disappointed with Comfort Zone.As I read other reviews I now see that is this an ongoing problem. Why does Amazon keep selling this item when Comfort Zone doesn't seem to care.
