Legacy Comfort Pen Kits have a standout design that will make them one of your favorites. They use 7mm pen components, similar to Legacy Woodturning’s Slimline and Fancy kits, except for a wider center band and a silicone comfort grip. You can make the pen with or without the included grip. Legacy Comfort Pen Kits are compatible with other types of Comfort pen kits. As one of Legacy’s most popular pen kits, the Comfort kit is used by new pen turners as well as seasoned veterans and offered in a large variety of finishes.

*To complete each kit you will need two 7mm tubes (included), a 7mm drill bit (sold separately), 3/4" x 5" wood or acrylic pen blanks (sold separately) and bushings (sold separately).

I just got into pen turning and decided to order these Comfort Pens after using some from PSI. I got my package in yesterday and decided to turn my first pen from Legacy. After 3-4 hours of work on the lathe, it was time to assemble the pen. I fully assemble the pen and realize there was a problem with the connection between the Cross Ink twisting part and the tube. It's stripped and it won't twist Tight. I will check the other sets to see how they are soon.

Price is too high now however two years after my first review I found there are still no issues with these kits. Upgrade the refill with Montverde refills, they're medium point and have better color and ink distribution.Update: Recently only received 9 out of ten in the bag. They took care of it. Good company.

I enjoy turning these simple pens. I don't use the rubber "comfort" sleeve, because it covers up the beautiful wood. They have a balanced feel and are a pleasure to write with. The kit comes with everything you need to make a lovely twist pen. All you provide is the lathe, a pen mandrel and the material to be turned. They are available in several metal styles...Gold, Chrome, Satin Pearl, Copper. Gun Metal.

all these pen are as described and work well. I only had one transmission that was faulty, it didn't have the threads inside to receive the pen refill.
