When I bought this it was for a Christmas present for my son. But right out the box, we put the joy cons to charge the controllers, and only the right one charges. No matter how long it sat. -Update Got a complete Refund.

So far this seem to be a perfect knockoff of the nintendo brand joycon charge grip. The only difference is a very slight indent on the rear grips.My only complaint would be that the included stick grips were yellow and not red/blue
