Well packed. Bugs arrived alive though the spring tails were sparse in number which is why four instead of five stars. The isopods were the import part of my order and I can nurse the springtails to a larger number. Overall I am very pleased.

I got these buggies for my leopard geckos terrarium since I decided to make it bioactive. Both the isopods and springtails came in so lively! The isopods were moving around and the springtails were jumping around. So far they've settled into the terrarium very well

I got these specifically to go in my bearded dragon's arid enclosure. I just put leftover salad, and wet spaghnum moss under cork bark in one area. The populations have exploded even with this very minimal care.

Not only did they put a keep warm note on the box for the postal worker to see, but they put a little heater pack in there and waited until a snowstorm finished in my region to ship (I can't think of another reason they would delay for precisely that many days). The insects arrived alive and thriving and are now in my bioactive terrarium :)

So the powder blue isopods came looking happy on their damp paper towel, and I'm fairly sure there were probably an extra one or two but they're hard to count honestly. No complaints about the powder blues....But the springtails that I was needing worse than the isopods were the problem. I've had them for about two weeks and I have yet to see a single living springtail or even any signs of babies/eggs. When they were picked up from the post office I saw one dead one floating in the water. Left the lid open, tried feeding them, and then closed it hoping to eventually see some sort of life in there. But my hope keeps dwindling as each day passes by and there's still nothing. My usual feeder site sells the components separately for almost half the price and I placed an order through them after the dud culture arrived, and their springtails came jumping around in the container with obvious life. Though they use a clay substrate while this company sent theirs in a cup with some water and broken up leaves. Clay definitely seems a better substrate for these little guys.
