These did not perform too well in wet conditions. My feet got wet in not too much slush. They seem to be wearing on the bottom quickly. They are pretty comfortable and somewhat warm, but I would not use them as main footwear for wet environments.

They are very comfortable and warm. They also do not have the rough feeling of a winter boot.

As soon as the hubby put them on, he said they were very comfortable and warm, and when he took them out for a spin, reported that they gripped well in the ice and snow, he didn't detect any melted snow getting through the waterproof fabric. The bright blue color and style make these look like regular tennis shoes, and not boots. We did order a half size bigger, as both of us have learned from experience that Columbia runs short. (We returned a pair previously for that very reason). They appear to be constructed well and hopefully will last a few winter seasons.

True To Size !!These are very light weight, I would almost call them a Hybrid Hiking/Running shoe. The laces are the standard flat type, and depending on how tight you like your shoes they may be slightly short. I have a really high instep and I like my shoes Loose so the laces are at the very minimum length to be tied. A really Hard Core hiker would replace them with Paracord. The tread on the bottom is knobby and grips well. The insoles are super thin, and I though no way these could be comfortable BUT they are. The cushion action come from the Spongy White soles NOT the insole! The white sole material is about 1-1/2 inches thick and is like the same squishy feel as Crocs. It also picks up Goat Heads, Grass Burrs, and Thorns like crazy. The Blue Mesh material is also a MAGNET for Grass Seeds, Cockel Burrs, and any type of bristly matter.(Yes, I experienced the joys of picking those nasty little clingers out of my shoes for about a half an hour!)So, Great for "staying on the maintained trails" not really suitable for "off roading"I absolutely would Recommend them for the Urban Trekker.I Hope My Review And Pictures Were Helpful To You !!

Bought for the Canadian winter. This is not for fashionistas. If you’re looking for a comfortable, warm, agile, grippy, stable boot, just pull the trigger.

Going to Scotland in rainy December and will be walking through lots of puddles. These are crazy comfortable, waterproof, and fit perfect. They weigh nothing. They have a great grip, and look great too.
