The size and fit is perfect for the corresponding age.It's plenty warm and the hands and feet can be covered by reversing the extremities.

Our baby gets so many compliments when wearing this! "That looks so cozy!" "I wish they made a grown-up version!" "That looks like it could be the BEST sleeping bag!" It's so lightweight and comfortable, but also extremely durable. We have full faith that we can use it for the next baby. Warm enough that baby only needs one layer underneath!

I have an 8 month old on the 99th percentile for height. But 75th for weight. So the 6-12m fits great in terms of length only slightly long in the arms. However it is bulky so it looks loose when worn since she isn't the chunkiest baby. Had I gotten the 6-9 I think we wouldn't have been able to fold over the footies on the bunting. So if you have a kid in the 99th percentile for height I would say go for their usual size.
