With oil, royal icing can spoil and macaroons can crack, so Colour Mill’s unique Aqua Blend pigments are your best friend for turning oil-and-fat-incompatible products into bold and brilliant bakes.
Using more drops will increase the intensity of color. Using less will create softer hues. Build the color slowly as you mix your batter to achieve your desired hue.
Before getting started, use the bottle lid to pop a hole in the seal and give the bottle a good shake. Colour Mill’s pigments pack a punch so take it slow when coloring, starting with just a few drops and mixing as you go. Tip: If you have time and for the best results, let your mixture sit overnight.

Quality product that I trust. Reliable company. Great colour and perfect for my artistic baking endevours. Bottle is great size. Would recommend puncturing the safety seal instead of ripping it off to help control the amount of colouring dropped. Excellent value. Perfect bottle size.

Worked beautifully. Price isn’t too steep, and they are perfect tones. The texture is smooth since it’s an aqua base. Has no weird odor, and no funky taste. The staining is there, but not as strong as others I have used. These are great and easy to use.

I ordered this color and a few others at the same time. Out of 7 bottles, 3 of them arrived utterly congealed and unusable. No amount of water or color solution would fix it. It just turned clumpy with large specks/flakes of darker pigment. Very disappointing.

I was nervous when I had someone request such a dark colored cake - usually it’s impossible to get the coloring this dark. It does darken a TON which was handy for me but just be warned if attempting pastels. The light green is the color the dark emerald was at when I finished mixing and it darkened to that darker shade.

This product is defective (maybe old). Up until now, I’ve had 100% success rate with any Colour Mill product that I’ve purchased. I ordered baby pink on August 25. When using the product for the first time, I noticed that the chocolate was not smooth and creamy as it usually is. I mixed the chocolate in color again, just to be sure and like the time before, the chocolate did not mix well with the coloring. The coloring made the chocolate harden almost immediately. I reached out to the seller (on August 30th) to notify them of the issue, and never received a response.

I should know better really. Anything labeled aqua should be kept as far away from macarons as possible but following recommendations from online, I went with it in an attempt to really get a decent dark punch Navy (and black).Absolutely useless. You need much more than recommended, my Navy still looks blue and it's killed the meringue, even with excess egg white powder I'm getting no beautiful stiff peaks like usual. It's so watery, not a proper gel.Stay the heck away from this is you want it for macs. I'm sticking to master elites or sugarflair.

I’ve found that the coloring is accurate and fairly bold without needing to add too much. Some other reviewers have noted the flavor, which is fairly faint, but is slightly noticeable in applications where the main dish has a delicate flavor. That same flavor disappears when added to something with strong flavors, and this honestly aligns with my experiences with similar products.The overall quality and value are at least on par with most brands I’ve used, so it’s easy to recommend in the event that you need a color in this range.
