Do your prep correctly, use their recommended applicator and you should have excellent results. I have refinished leather shoes, purses, even used two alternating colors black/brown to refinish badly worn areas of our leather furniture. They also sell a surface prep cleaner that you might want to use.

I used this leather dye to touch up the wear on the arms and head rest of my husbands leather recliner and it worked perfectly. The color (ebony) matched and blended in with no rud off. It's been months and it still looks like new. A little goes a long way, so if I ever need to touch up again I have plenty left.

Buying these products is never a sure thing but for once it turned out to be the right move. I have a leather reclining love seat in dark brown. It was showing wear spots and was looking pretty bad. What could it hurt to try some of this product. I didn’t take any before and after pictures as I should have but I now have a brand new looking piece of furniture. Unbelievable! It turned out beautifully. Absolutely nothing bad about the job this product did. It doesn’t rub off either. Love it!

I can't say enough good things about this product. I have two nice (read expensive) leather recliners we use all the time. They have seen some wear and the leather stain has worn off in places. I tried to use shoe polish and other things that did not work. I decided to try this dye, and I was amazed. On the first coat, it covered up the worn places very nicely. It blended in well....not perfectly, but good enough. (Their wide dye selection helps make this happen.) It dried quickly, and it does not come off on one's clothes at all. I intend to do several of the areas again with a second coat since you can see through just a tiny bit. But overall I was amazed at the effectiveness of the coverage. I used a sponge to do it and shook the heebie jeebies out of the dye to begin with. Very happy customer.

Updated to 3 stars. My original comments were two applications in. I did a third application touching up the areas where it didn't take (starting over with cleaning the jacket thoroughly) and then a fourth coat touching up again. Jacket is looking good now and color is holding. But, I'd still say that with the brown dye, don't count on an easy time -- persistence pays off. I've since done a black jacket with black dye -- it looks great with a single application. 5 stars to the black, but that's a separate review. Original review follows.My dark brown coat faded over the years to a light brown. Intent was to get it back to its original color. I bought the dye and their cleaner. I used the cleaner per directions. I applied the dye and the jacket looked great. I let it sit for a couple of days and applied some leather condition. The dye isn't really a dye as much as it is a stain. So, I've already got bits rubbing off and it's getting worse every time I wear it. I'm hoping that the black on a black jacket will be less noticeable, but this dark brown is really disappointing on my brown jacket.

I can't say enough about this product!!! I was skeptical but thought I'd give it a try and I'm so glad I did. I purchased a used leather sectional and didn't realize how bad the seats were faded until I got it home. I ordered the leather refinish sampler which had three colors but none matched the color of the couch. I decided to just refinish the whole thing with the dark brown and it turned out amazingly well. It dries really fast and covers nicely. I have had several people ask where I purchased it and are going to do theirs as well. I highly recommend it!! I attached the before and after pictures but couldn't get them to rotate.

My leather sectional was very tired faded, just awful looking. I did some research online and decided on this product. Let me tell you so far i could not be happier with the results. It covers so well and makes the sectional look brand new. I had to order one additional contai er of this because the sectional is so big but $40.00 versus $3000 for a new leather sectional is a small price to pay. It says wont rub off, a d i am hoping that is true, i will add to my review in a week or two after it is completely finished and i sit on it. Cant go wrong with this magical product. I have had this product on my leather sofa for quite a while now never did it wear off never did it fade good product
