About this item

  • 100% pure copper. Excellent corrosion resistance (will never rust).
  • USA made, owned, & operated. Our facility is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
  • 100' length. 5" wide. The diameter of the mesh coil is approximately 7".
  • Copper mesh is great for reflux distilling (where legal). Helps to eliminate sulfur compounds from your distillate.
  • Used to clean plastic, rubber, or fiber extrusion equipment. Also molds, dies, screws and similar machinery while the machine or molds are still hot.
  • Copper mesh can be made into copper scrubbers for industrial cleaning.
  • Copper mesh can be used to stuff small holes around the house to keep unwanted animals or pests away.
  • It can protect your seedlings, vegetables, and fruits from snails and other pests. The knitted construction often catches rodents' teeth and makes it hard for them to chew through or remove.
  • Cleans up easily with vinegar

Knitted copper wire mesh has the same structure as stockings or sweaters. The copper gauze is made of pure copper wire knit into a continuous flat double-thick stocking. 100% copper material will never rust and has a long lifespan. It is widely used in the industrial industry and its applications include: Diesel injector filters, oil & air breather elements, catalytic converter mesh, insulation blanket mesh, exhaust seals, separators for liquid vapor used in chemical and petro-chemical plants, mufflers and silencers, pneumatic tools, flame arrestors, heat exchange media, metal & plastic sponges, lint traps-alum, copper gauze mesh, oil-bath separators, mist elimination pads, and cable wrap.

So far it’s keeping the pest away from coming in the house. Easy to use and just the right size and length. Already bought 3

This Copper mesh is a bit too flimsy stand-alone, mice and rats just tear at it and push it aside. Spray foam used alone has similar issues. The trick is to pack the mesh in holes or gaps fairly densely, then infuse the Copper mesh with spray foam. Stick the tube from the foam spray can deeply into the mesh and draw it outward as you spray. The foam expands into the mesh, and adheres it in place. The mesh filled reinforced foam that results is very very tough. Highly recommend.

This is a quality made in USA product which costs only slightly more than similar type products made mostly offshore. I always look first to purchase North American made products because I can be far more confident of the quality of the item and the production standards. I totally believe in "you get what you pay for".

Package arrived in good condition and product is as advertised. The quantity is also as advertised in an easy to use roll. Easy to cut, easy to fold and shape. I used it to fill gaps around the house where pests might enter. These were small gaps and it fit well into the shapes needed, sometimes taking several layers folded together

Arrives as pictured. Copper does not rust (steel wool does outdorrs). I am using this to pack both sides of a large stone column behind which is inaccessible house siding. It comes as a 'sleeve' and I am stuffing copper wool (Amazon carries) into that sleeve and then dipping one side into outdoor adhesive to be sure it stays where I put it. Easy to push, using something long and thin, into very narrow and uneven places where you cannot use trim board or other blocking products. The space along the column varies from 1/2" to 2". Pack rats can easily eat through siding and are VERY fond of wood as their teeth NEVER stop growing and they constantly need to hone them down!

I used it up along the foundation sill, where it meets the cedar shingles. I wanted to make sure no bugs or critters could get in. I happened to find some crickets along the sill line, no wonder we heard chirping inside the house. Cleaned up, put this in place (along the entire house) no more chirping. No more spiders making their way, and to this point I've seen no more mice. Good, good!Super easy to use. I brushed out the area of any debris, made sure it was clean and ready to go. Then I unrolled the netting and walked (no need to measure) the section I wanted, made a cut with a regular pair of scissors (ones we keep for outdoor use). Applying was easy, I used a leather work glove and a heavy-duty plastic putty knife to push in place. Worked great.

Copper, at significant levels in water, is lethal to zebra mussels which some cretin introduced into Lake Travis a couple of years ago - they travel in the bilge water/trailer chassis of professional bass fishermen on tour - and they will cause a submersible pump to clog up and burn out. So I simply wrapped the 5" PVC pipe the pump is cradled in with this copper mesh. It does not impeded water flow but acts to filter out any shells of dead mussels so they are not passed up the pipeline. It does not get clogged up with silt (which passes through if there is a lot of turbulence in the water from heavy rains). There is enough mesh for me to wrap at least 4 pumps, so ample supply for the price. I did secure the mesh with bare copper wire to tie it down. I would buy this again, works great.

I found this brand to be stiffer with larger holes than a previous brand I purchased. It was like working with the old fashioned scouring pads. I put it in a box to cut it in strips for weep holes because it left a lot of metal flakes and we didn't want it getting in our dogs paws. If you have a lot of weep holes you may want to purchase a larger roll. We decided to cover our weep holes after seeing a wasp fly into ours & didn't want wasps taking up residence in our walls but also good to keep out other unwanted critters.
