Second time doing the front coil over shocks on my 2001 Tundra. Retired my old simple "two blocks of cast aluminum and a threaded rod" spring compressors that were scary, difficult to use and barely did the job. This compressor is a marvel and does the job quick, easy and safely.I used a 1/2" cordless drill to run the screws in and out. First time was off the coil to add some grease to the screws. One of the screws had some sharp forge flashing around the perimeter of the hex head which threatened to slice my thumb but luckily no cuts. A few minutes with a flat file to fix and no big deal given the reasonable price of this tool. I used the drill motor to compress the spring and all went smoothly. Highly recommended.

Unlike some of the brands I have seen out there, this set is mostly high carbon steel (not cast) and is machined very well.Be sure to use lubrication on the parts to keep from wear and potential failure.
