Been using this pee for years and this is the first time it's smelt sour like it was bad. Scared deer off. Its rut season too. Haven't seen any deer since I put it out in my dripper. If it has a sour smell don't use it. Just go get different pee

Bought code red for a sole purpose of slowing deer down. It did just that. It’s not pulling that buck off your neighbors property or bringing the big one from down wind but did stop almost every deer walking by for a few seconds at least. I ran a bottle through a scent dripper late October, the bucks didn’t come charging in but did stop on the trail long enough to give a shot off if I wanted to. Shipping was fast and 3 bottles at that price I’d buy again.
