Compared to the two braided carbon $160 bows I previously owned, these Coda bows are easier to make a good sound. The shaft and frog are a little wider, which feels more comfortable in my fingers, and makes it easier to turn the screw to adjust hair tension. I liked it so much I bought a second Diamond NX for my spare. The higher price was a bit painful, but when I play with this bow I'm happy, and glad I got them.

This was a gift for our son who teaches orchestra at a middle school. Since receiving the bow he has been raving about it’s responsiveness and the tone he is getting out of his viola

I've played violin for years and recently bought my first viola, so all was a new and interesting challenge. I also have a Coda violin bow, so after searching locally for a wooden viola bow, and having bad luck and breakage I went straight for the Coda viola bow, and it has absolutely performed excellently. It is dependable and certainly out performs me. I would highly recommend this bow, no hesitation.
