A nice set of Hawthorne strainers. If you don’t have a Hawthorne strainer these are a good addition. The springs are pretty tight coils and there is some inconsistency in construction and the springs fit but they still get the job done. The cut outs are a bit too much and can lead to some spills if you aren’t used to using these. Still they are solid and a nice addition to any bar

As you can see on the picture, the other brand of Hawthorne strainer that I have has much much fewer coils on the spring. The Etens brand ones have so many more coils. However, the spring is a little long, so that when the spring is placed onto the housing, they make a bit of an egg shaped profile, rather than a perfectly round profile. This hasn't seemed to hamper its ability to strain out ice, but it's something to note if you're particular about how your tools look. Construction is good enough for the job, and it goes into the dishwasher with no fuss. The spring is removable, so that if you're trying to froth an ingredient, you can throw it into the cocktail shaker, shake things up, and use the second strainer to strain liquids. It's nice to have two for that reason: one to be a sacrificial spring one, and the other to use as a regular strainer.This fits nicely over the opening of my Boston shakers, as well as the cut glass crystal stirring glass.

This is a classic Hawthorne style strainer and will fit the Boston-type shaker professionals use. It is weighty 100% stainless steel and the coil is easily removable. This strainer is as good as it gets and any bartender should be satisfied with it.

I recently got active hosting parties with cocktails and have been building out bar. These work great with existing 16 oz glasses for straining ice and muddled ingredients. Have been using this set for about a month. As good quality as I would have expected from name brand at half price.

I ordered these strainers as I use frozen fruit in a majority of our cocktails I make at home and since some of the fruit have seeds they tend to also go in the drink and I wanted a way to strain as many seeds out of the drink as possible. This does the trick! So now when I pour our drink into the glass I can just put the strainer over the glass and it removes the majority! Most excellent!
