Easy to install. Washed window and then let dry for a few hours. Measured, cut about 1/4" wider than needed - wiped window with a wet washcloth. Peeled backing (using their tape method - works wonders!) and patiently put on the window glass. used same wet washcloth to wipe the window. Used a razor blade and then cut to fit perfectly. Didn't need a squeegee but had one and the directions said to use it so I did. I installed at night. Went outside to check to see how well it blurred the inside (using in bathrooms). Very disappointed. Barely blurred the people inside. Just made a little fuzzy. Will be looking for a different product. Growing up we had a window that let in all the light, but you could not see in at all. Was looking to replicate that. This did not.

I have trust issues, so I bought 2 types of window privacy films. Never used them before, but it was time. The one on the right, I applied first. That's this Coavas One-Way. It was very difficult to apply because it has a sticky back that sticks prematurely and I had to keep peeling and reapplying. It took me over an hour to do the one window pane. Then I tried the 2nd brand and braced myself. LIKE NIGHT AND DAY. It literally took me about 10 minutes total. It doesn't have the sticky back to contend with. You just wet the window and apply. The Coavas One-Way is also very flimsy, which is a nightmare when you add in a sticky back. Imagine a giant Saran Wrap. That's the main reason it took so long. Not good. The 2nd brand is way thicker and MUCH EASIER to work with. Also, the Coavas was way dark. Notice the difference. Coavas brand on right. There is some overlapping on both windows because I had to cut, but you hardly notice it on 2nd brand on the left. The 2nd brand is called Volcanics. Not a spokesperson. Just a 58-yo woman with neither time nor money to waste. I have reordered the Volcanics brand and will be replacing the junk on the right as soon as it arrives. I forgot to take a pic of what they look like from the outside. You do notice the difference. They both provide great privacy, as all you see is your reflection and can't see in. But Volcanics looks way smoother and is hardly noticeable. However, Canvas is very noticeable and just looks like cheap cellophane. Have to be honest. Good luck all.

I only needed privacy for the lower part of the windows facing the street. This worked out great. It was simple to put it on the window. I found it easier to cut the Film one inch wider on both sides, and then use a razor blade to gently and slowly cut it to fit, leaving a tiny 1/8 inch gap on the sides. Then be sure to spray some extra distilled water on the cut edge and corners to make sure it sticks to the window. Then squeegee out the air bubbles and extra water between the glass and the film. Then gently pat dry with a towel. Looks great! It is exactly what I needed.

When I bought this product I wasn’t expecting much from it and when I first tried it on a window I missed one step and that made it seem not so good at first. Then I noticed how the instructions emphasized the spraying water on the window and the back of the plastic film was key. So I gave it another try and that definitely helped. The appearance and brightness of the film makes it very appealing. Also I noticed when it gets too hot outside it doesn’t affect much the temperature in my room. I can tell that if you follow the instructions you’ll find it very easy to use. The transparency is visible to a minimum, nothing can be seen from the outside. It lets you see the sunlight but it doesn’t bother you at all. It’s definitely worth it to buy! 🙏🤓

The instructions require a squeegee and recommend distilled water for installation--I had to go buy those, which added to the price of the installation. The instructions suggest leaving a 3mm gap between the edge of the cling and the border of the window--I don't know how on earth anyone can do that well, even with a good straight edge. I trimmed the cling with a box cutter using the window border as a guide, not leaving a 3mm gap. It seemed to work okay--but maybe over time that will be a problem. Other than that, the installation itself went smoothly. The product photos showing the larger windows are using images of the cling that are not the proper dimension for the photos, making the weave look larger than it is. I'm VERY pleased with how the cling looks installed, and how it blurs the neighbor's ugly yard while still letting in light. I'd give it five stars except for the issues mentioned.

Easy application using the tools I already had on hand. I have a sewing cutting board and a rotary cutter. I also used a metal ruler which helped with the rotary cutting tool. The pull apart tabs made it easy to separate the film and adhere using water and a plastic putty knife I had on hand. This film and the kit to apply it at Lowe’s as well over $25 so this was a great price and so far it has stayed on and gives me the privacy needed.
