This is a specialized controller board for the 3018 type of 3d mill. The fit and finish is excellent. It works out of the box, with added tweeks for end stops and the like. You do have to be aware that this is an unbuffered board made for running SMALL stepper motors and a stock 775 motor. As these motors are an inductive device, disconnecting the wires with power on can cause high voltage kick back which can destroy the board. Any short circuits, bad wiring and the like can easily do the same. The pwm output is aimed at laser cutters and not for larger motor controllers. The pwm output is 12V and can be set to 0 to 100% square wave output with grbl. Most cheap pwm motor drivers expect 5V output and won't work with these boards.

Hooked it up to old 3018 pro and it now works like a charm. Quieter than original and in a nice box that attached straight to machine

This would be a 5 star product if they would include even the simplest of documentation. I'm using this to convert an older 3D printer over to a simple cnc milling machine so I need to know where to connect things on the board, how much power it can supply without burning itself up, etc. Even the silk screen on the spindle motor isn't labeled with the positive and negative connections. I was able to get to a point that I could power it up and connect it to the USG program, turn the spindle on (without having the spindle connected) to see which was pos and neg. This is a 0 to 24 volt output but it can only handle very small motors, I have a 500 watt spindle so I'm running this signal through a voltage divider to get a 0 to 10 volt signal that works perfectly with my motor speed controller allowing the software to turn the spindle on and off and control the speed. The amazing thing to me is that everyone appears to be using this as a replacement only, it's a great little 3 axis controller. I looked online for hours to try and find documentation and I couldn't find anything, no website for Cnctobaos, no users group, nothing.if this came with a detailed pinout and spec sheet it would be a 5 star product. Two pieces of paper or even a link to a web page, I'd be good with either.

Unit did not last more than 1 day. It is pretty fragile and I took extra precautions to never unplug anything unless I powered it down first.

The first one stopped working but the instructions were useless Chinglish, had to figure it out by poke and try and it seems to work OK.

First one was defective. Replacement process was a bit time consuming as it involved having to send a video of the failures. It was replaced but I have not tried the new one as I have other machine issues to contend with first. The newest version does appear to have some improvements though. If it works I will upgrade the stars.

Would have been good if it had worked.
