Compared to an original mercruiser gimbal bearing, the aluminum adapter on the outside of the gimbal bearing on this kit is 0.030” too large to make it impossible to install. Basically caused the job to stop and wait for another gimbal bearing (from quicksilver instead). Putting the bearings side by side the difference is clear.

Everything fit good and good quality, I only had one issue with this kit on my rebuild, the retaining ring for the drive shaft bellows even with the tool was not tapered just right, but a slight bit of tapping on the ring with a body hammer increased the taper so it popped in as it should. Not a deal braker in my book. don't hesitate even though it isn't an OEM part. If you need to replace bellows or rebuild outdrive you will need this kit and I was not disappointed. Do yourself a favor and just buy the bellows tool and retainer install tool at the same time, skip all that save a buck stuff, it will pay for itself because the exhaust bellows is next to impossible without it.

This bellows kit does not fit properly. The shifter bellows split while trying to install the cable sheath. The drive shaft bellows is virtually impossible to install. Damaged the retaining ring and am waiting for a replacement. I will be surprised if I can install and use this. I bought the quicksilver shifter bellows. Piece of cake to install. Might end up spending the money for OEM I’ll keep you posted.I was able to get the drive shaft bellows installed after removing the whole thing and cleaning all the bellows came t off the new bellows. Then I modified the included retaining ring to have a better taper and left it installed for a while before removing it and installing a new one. I suggest not using bellows cement between the bellow and the gimbal. But then use it for the final install of the retaining ring. The fit is pretty tight so leakage will be minimal if at all. And the cement will secure the retaining ring. The bulb and grove on the bellows will prevent it from coming out. Just sharing my experience here. Good luck!

This seemed like a good kit at a great price, and it's about 90% of the way there. I got all of the old bellows off the boat, installed the new hoses, installed the exhaust and shift cable bellows, mounted up the bell housing, and got the u-joint bellows seated inside the Bell housing. Only one thing left to do.......the retaining ring.The retaining ring included with the kit is about 1/16" too large in diameter and does not easily fit inside the bell housing. Once you get it in the housing, you will soon realize the that the rubber on the U-Joint bellows where it enters the housing is about twice as thick as the OEM bellows, and the inside edge of the retaining ring is about 3/8" larger in diameter than the ID on the u-joint bellows. There is no physical way on Earth to get this retaining ring inside the u-joint bellows to secure this last connection.If you do decide to purchase this kit, test-fit EVERYTHING before you begin putting anything together. I was about 6 hours into this repair when the problem was realized, and had to find a very "country-style" solution as I was not about to start all over.Really hope the manufacturer can get this right, because it would be a great kit if the final piece would actually fit to complete the job.

BELLOW CAME CRAKED FIT FINGER THROUGH HOLE. HOLE HIDDEN UNDER CLAMP. THIS WILL SINK YOUR BOAT DO NOT USE THIS GARBAGE.Also grease seal blew out on gimbal bearing, thankfully greased it prior to closing everything up, this would have sent metal shrapnel all over the place.JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK DO NOT TRUST DO NOT BUY YOU ARE RISKING YOUR INVESTMENT AND YOUR SAFETY
