Glad I bought these, just be aware that the cord goes to the left (looking at the back) be mindful of any other jack or switch this might affect.

I use these to connect my seaboard rise 2 to my Hydrasynth desktop. Work perfectly and take up very little space for very little money

These external 3.5mm to 5 pin DIN midi cable work great with my 3.5mm stereo output jack midi gear. The functionality of these is great particularly the right angle plugs on the 3.6mm jacks as they prevent the plugs being easily snagged and or snapped off whilst the straight 5 pin din plugs make the easy to attach of remove from the old midi gear. They'll be great for some of the Korg gear or the Polyend Tracker just with I had one to try them with.

These cables are so handy for a pedalboard. used them to connect up my Timeline, BigSky and Source EQ2 to my Morningstart controller. The angle of the cable coming off the back and the low profile cable makes it nice and neat for my Pedal board regardless of how the 5 pin MIDI DIN is oriented on the device. The cable is never in the way!Time will tell on the longevity but don't really expect it to be a problem because i won't be removing them or putting much stress on the cables

This would be a 5-star product if it (1) was sold individually at a reasonable price (or at least in packs of 2), and (2) was available with a choice of left- or right-angled MIDI plug.Because the product name includes "Mirrored", I actually thought the 4-pack might include 2 that are angled in each direction. But no, as you can see in the first two product pictures, they are all angled in the same direction. It happens to be the wrong direction for my application, but it doesn't really matter because the cable is pretty flexible and can be curved around under the plug. It's still a lot better than having a straight plug sticking out from the side of my foot controller. One of the later product photographs, showing the cable plugged into the MIDI Out jack of a 3-switch foot controller, is actually lying. With the logo right-side-up as shown, the jack must have the pins on the bottom in the "smile" configuration, which would make the cable extend down to the left, not to the right. Or if the jack is upside down (like the strangely nonstandard 8-pin MIDI In next to it), the logo would be upside down, and the cable would extend up and to the right. Also, the logo on the plugs has a blue background, not black as shown. My photographs show the plug on its pin side, and plugged into a MIDI Captain DUO pedal, which has the 5 pins on the bottom like a smile.I bought this and am keeping it because it seems to be the ONLY prefab cable with a right-angle MIDI DIN connector on one end and a 3.5mm type A MIDI TRS connector on the other. (The TRS connector happens to also be a right angle, which is good, although it doesn't really matter in my case.) And it works well, and the 2-foot length is great for me.Alternatives would have been:Make my own cable: probably the best choice for some peopleUse an adapter (included with my Headrush MX5) and a very short off-the-shelf standard MIDI cable: probably the best choice for many people, including me, but I really prefer having one cable with the right connectors rather than using adaptersGet a custom-made cable from one of the companies that does that: more expensive for 1 cable than just buying this 4-pack, though probably also very high quality

These cables are excellent. Super low profile on the 5 pin side (like less than half the size of the equivalent Boss cable). The wire is thin and flexible, the stereo plug is quality. Perfect product to complete my board.

Does it work? Yes. Feels like being bent over barrel to be forced to buy FOUR when only need one?Do they work. Sure. Did i want to buy FOUR? No. Are they available in any smaller quantity? No. Does this seem RUDE to customers and environmentally wasteful? Yes.Love the format. HATE the forced quantity purchase.

I picked up this 4 pack because I needed one cable to connect two pieces of music gear. The TRS jack goes into a Roland Aira S-1, and the MIDI jack goes into a Sonicware Lofi-12 XT. The Lofi-12 XT does the sequencing for the S-1.I plugged it in, ensured the MIDI channel was correct, and that was that -- it worked. The MIDI jack is also very slim, which is great for portability. I'd only suggest double-checking the length you need, but if you need longer, get an extension for the 1/8" TRS because they're slimmer overall. While I don't need all of the cables in the 4 pack, it's a good deal since often MIDI will use two cables for IN/OUT, and if you're already using something that needs a TRS MIDI port, having a few extra lying about in case of emergency or new gear is never a bad idea. In other words, if you're into audio, you likely already have a bunch of extra cables in a bin somewhere.
