INTENDED USE: I'm relatively new to macrame and have been experimenting with different cord types to find what works best for various projects. This Clowex cord was one of my trials. I'm using it for plant hangers and wall hangings.THE GOOD: This cord is significantly easier to work with than some other cords I've tried. The knots hold well, which makes the whole process much smoother and less frustrating. The amount of cord you get is also a definite plus.THE BAD: I haven't encountered any real issues with this cord so far.EASE OF USE: As mentioned, the cord holds knots well and doesn't slip, which makes it easy to work with, even for beginners.VALUE FOR MONEY: The amount of cord you get for the price seems very reasonable. It's enough for multiple projects, depending on what you're making.OVERALL THOUGHTS (WOULD I SUGGEST TO OTHERS): Yes, I would recommend this cord to other crafters. It's a good value, easy to use, and works well for a variety of macrame projects.

- really nice maroon color- ends fray a lot, a lot of fuzz after cutting and it constantly unravels- a quick melting keeps the ends together*Macrame - first time using polyester cord*- soft and easy to work with when doing macrame- stiff when knotted- knots don't stay too well at the ends if you fuss with the appearance. End knots may need some melting or gluing to get them to stay- if you pull the ends apart, you lose the structure of the knot and the knot loosens and can't be tightened again.*Crochet*- using a 5.50mm (USI-9) hook, the fabric is still very pliable but stiff- this is cord and is much stiffer than yarn. Hands get tired much quicker and can be a little difficult to work with.

The color of the cord is pretty and has a nice sheen to it. The issues are that it frays very easily and quickly so you have to knot the ends as soon as you cut the cord to keep this from happening. The cord also has some give to it making it somewhat difficult to work with in a traditional macrame way or in large projects. I have a few ideas of what I might use it for but not wall hangings, bags, bottle holders, plant holders, or anything that requires are more durable and sturdy cord.

I like this cord, it's soft and works well for my baskets. It's a bit small in diameter but still looks good. Would use again.

We got this accidentally, not realizing it was macrame cord, we thought it was yarn. There was an initial disappointment but we realized its really good quality and used it for other projects. The color is very beautiful and it's soft. It sure was a happy accident!

I recently purchased the Clowex Polyester Soft Macrame Cord, and I am thrilled with the quality! The 191-yard length is generous, and the 2.5-3mm thickness is perfect for a variety of projects, from plant hangers to wall hangings and even macrame bags. The polyester material feels sturdy yet soft, making it much easier to work with compared to other cords I've tried. It’s durable and holds knots very well, so I know my pieces will last. The color is rich, and it has a slight sheen that adds an elegant touch to any project. This macrame cord has made my DIY projects look more professional, and the 1/9 inch width gives just the right texture and definition without feeling bulky. I highly recommend it for beginners and advanced crafters alike—this rope has quickly become a staple in my craft supplies.

This cording is nice for small crochet projects like the toy net pictured. The deep blue was colorfast and was well saturated throughout the skein. Easy to work with!

I've never done macrame or used cord, so I can't comment on the thickness as I have nothing to compare to. I intended to use it to crochet a basket for my craft room, so thought this would hold shape better than yarn.Actual use: there is NO WAY I could have pulled from the center of the skein. If that's important to you, this won't be for you. Instead, I wound a new cake on my yarn winder. The skein is wound very very tightly so I had to unwind by hand as I wound it. The color is absolutely gorgeous. Very happy with that. I used a J hook for those that crochet. The cord is soft and "bendy" enough to crochet quite easily. In spite of the bendy-ness, the basket turned out well and after blocking, holds it shape well enough. I wouldn't use it for anything "wearable" as it is too heavy for that. I think a bag or purse would weight too much before putting anything in it to be practical. One star deducted for fraying. If you don't melt the end IMMEDIATELY when starting to use it, you will have a mess on your hands. There is a lot of cording on the skein, but I'm not sure about the price. As I said, I haven't bought cording before so I don't know what's normal, but $30 seems a bit steep to me. For comparison, the basket I made would have taken about 4-5 oz of worsted weight yarn, which is normally less than $5 for acrylic, so you are getting an equivalent yardage of cord for $30.
