Really nice little product. It's machined aluminium and comes with a special piece of tape to hold the shield while you align it and stick it down. I'm using it on my Macbook M1 with glass screen (there was a warning?) in the guide about this, but I've found no issues.So far great product, does exactly what it says it does and looks good. Way better than the tape I had up there before that would leave residue, resulting in a fuzzy picture.

The moment I saw that this existed I had to have it. I only use the front facing camera on my iPad Mini once a week, for a family call, but I use the tablet constantly and I really don't care to have a camera pointed at my face. And this thing works. It's very easy to slide back and forth, and very securely attached. Even if it were thicker it would work since I have a thick folding swivel cover for the pad. I managed to forget it was there for my last call and wondered for a hot second why my video feed wasn't working. Soon as I realized, an easy slide had the lens exposed again.My mistake was overlooking the little white square of paper holding the application tape. The instructions showed it in use, but it seemed to me I hadn't gotten any tape because that little square had spilled out upside down on my white counter. So I made two errors in applying: Using just my fingers, I got it on slightly crooked; and I didn't realize the pictorial instructions were showing the cover with the dot slid to the open position, so I took my best guess at getting it over the camera and it came off a bit off center (without affecting the camera function at all, it's just an aesthetic issue). Since the adhesive is so strong, even seconds after applying I couldn't nudge the cover straighter. And I probably should have rotated it to have it extend to the right of the lens as now it's a little bit in the way of where my thumb sometimes rests.I chose black for contrast with the pad's white border, as I wasn't sure the white cover would match properly. That makes the slight crookedness really noticeable. Oops! It's a three year old pad and I am hopeful to return to Android if Pixel tablets look good, so I'm not too bothered. But please look for that little tape square, and keep the shutter open so you can see where you are placing the loop around the lens hole.

My work computer is a very recent Microsoft Surface Pro laptop. Not sure of the model number, but it's definitely within the last year or two. The camera is located at the top of the bezel, behind the same glass that covers the entire laptop screen. These camera covers adhere to to the front camera with ease, and the laptop closes just fine. I wouldn't SLAM the cover down for fear of breaking the glass... but I wouldn't do that even without installing this camera cover.My "personal" computer is a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet which is about 6 years old. It also has a front-facing camera which is mounted behind the top of the bezel, behind the same glass that covers the entire screen. I usually keep it in the docking station on my desk at home. Sometimes, I take it with me when I travel. When I travel, I put it in a "folio" cover and use a "Type" keyboard cover. This camera cover adheres to the front camera very well, and will fit in my folio cover.Both camera covers are easy to attach, and work simply by sliding the round part left/right to cover or uncover the camera.These covers will probably work on the rear camera of my Surface Pro tablet as well, but I don't have much need for covering that camera since that cameras is usually facing the rear of my desk (or a desk in a hotel room) and/or the wall behind the desk.To those who complained about the adhesive not sticking well enough... I have to wonder whether they bothered to clean the glass before attaching the camera cover. I dampened a paper towel with glass cleaner, cleaned the area on/around the camera, and then dried the surface of the glass with a dry paper towel before attaching the camera cover. The camera covers on both computers seem very well attached to the glass.
