Brushes have many different uses. This one is the right one for lightly brushing off clothes. I mostly use it on my pants to remove dust, lint, food particles, etc. It has a nice handle.

Just like the coat brush I used as a child. Clearly my childhood was perfect for cleanliness and grooming!!! But we did take care of our possessions. My friends laugh because I have my clothes for ever and then they are glad to get them passed on in perfect condition, a good clothes brush is part of the care, rare dry cleaning and good brushing every time they are worn. Quality clothes are part of it too. Good wool coats jackets and pants will last a long time.This great brush at great value, quick to use and a snap to clean is an essential part of good clothing care

A good brush. I'm glad I didn't spend $80 on a name brand brush. This brush is plenty sufficient.There was a small piece of debris in the bristles (like dried grass) but I got it out. There are also numerous subtle dents in the wood. The metal trim in the eye-hole has minor flaws. The rawhide hanging strap is good quality, but it wasn't tied well so I retied it. There were some tiny flaws in the stain. However, the wood seems solid enough. Lastly, it has a very strange smell coming out of the box.Most importantly, it brushes well. It brushed a ton of dirt and dust off of my uniform with ease. Super effective for brushing clothing.
