One week before Memorial Day I found out my grandsons were coming to visit with their parents & we were going to have a day at the lake. I quickly ordered these "little" fishing poles for them HOORAY, they arrived on time. I also ordered some longer poles for the older kids, revamped some old Zebco reels and had four set ups for four children. I thought that would be enough, but these little poles were the hit of the day. I have 3 grandsons & a granddaughter. One is the leader, he's 6 years old, and he instant loved these poles, so his 4 year old sidekick had to use one too. Since there are also two tinies aged 23 months, I had assumed these poles would be for play time while the older boys used the bigger poles. Now I find that I have to order two more of these short poles and I am happy to do so! Once the oldest boy decided he loved this size and he showed everyone how well he could cast with it, that's all the others wanted to use. Best of all, the size and weight is perfect for the tiniest hands. No one was injured by a pole that was too long and they held up really, really well. I was so glad.I sent the poles home with the boys and I will be back to get duplicates to keep with my gear and another set to send home with the rest of the crew for Labor Day! I am sure they will be great in an ice fishing cabin, too. However, it's been at least 40 years since I sat freezing in one of those and I hope it will be that long before I do it again!!
