I bought the climbing harness to replace my bosuns chair on my cruising catamaran for going up the mast. I’m 6’3 and 245# and nearly 73. Oh and I hate climbing the mast.The harness is light weight and has a metal rappelling loop. A halyard ties directly to the loop. The design is great , simple enough to adjust and intuitive to use. I can stretch out horizontally and not fear ending upside down. Unlike the three traditional bosuns chairs I’ve used, I feel very secure.This is the cheapest addition to the boat and replaces something that I was leery about using. I was worried that the low. price represented the quality and frankly intended to return it if so. I know rock climbing is a different sport but for climbing the mast it is better than perfect.
