My husband is into photography and works as a video editor. He has collected all sorts of lenses over time all in various sizes. I bought him an upgraded camera case for most of his lenses but he likes this for wrapping an unconventionally sized lens like the massive ones with this wrap BUT he does still store them in an additional camera bag just like having a wrap around them. He said he wouldn’t rely solely on this wrap but he does like it as an additional protective layer and find the cleaning function of the cloth.

I was looking for a lighter weight alternative for the nice and thick - but relatively heavy - neoprene lens pouches that I've used for years as part of my hiking kit. The 13x13 version weighed 1.8oz, less than what the product description says.One side is a soft microfiber and the other is course, with the course side apparently having enough tiny hook-like strands to act like a mild velcro. I've never really seen microfiber behave like that before, but I really like it for this application. I have a similar wrap that has actual velcro closures, but those are constantly snagging on everything. This is better.In terms of protection - it's maybe 1-2mm thick, which is enough to offer pretty good protection against bumps, scratches, and dings within a camera bag/backpack, but would offer very little, if any, protection to a lens or camera body against drops or more significant impacts. If you wrapped something lightweight, like a lens, in this by itself, it could probably survive a small drop, but for anything heavier you'd really want thicker padding.This is a good lightweight wrap to protect a lens/camera inside a bag, but I wouldn't rely on it for more serious protection. Also, no idea what's going on with the branding - the wrap itself is branded Ulanzi, but it's being sold under a different name. Doesn't matter at all, just flagging in case it's available under a different brand for a better price.

I have lens cases for all of my lenses but my cameras were not protected so I thought I would try this. The 17" or large one is what I got so I can wrap my camera and lens when I have my camera out of the bag.The material is soft but its also kind of sticky so the wrap will stay put however you use it and helps protect your camera. I thought this was a nice idea and pretty basic but is also a game changer after getting this. Its pretty neat that it will wrap around your camera for protection against scratches but the fact that the material sticks to itself is genius. A different approach but well worth it and very happy with this.

Don't be confused, this is a lens wrap. Like a cloth protective dust cover. It says it has a microfiber inside that can be used to wipe camera bodies, casings, and devices but I would not use it on my lens glass.It's an interesting material! it like latches onto itself pretty securely actually and wrapping my lense up for storage into the bag was easily done.The smaller size 13.7"x13.7" easily covered and wrapped up my Tamron 28-75mm lens and held it nicely.I'm impressed cause it's relatively thick, not shower towel thick, but like a more durable microfiber towel but it's low profile enough to not make the lens so bulky for putting in the bag. Really happy with this and will be taking it with me on my overseas trip!

It does wrap things and it's pretty neat that it's soft and it does stick to itself without loud obtrusive velcro. But from photography perspective absolutely no more protection than a dish towel provides. If you need something to keep the dust off a stored item it'll work but I wouldn't use it for transportation.

This is an alright product, and it does it's job well enough. The texture could be a little nicer to touch, but if you aren't too picky it isn't an issue. It is very cool that it sticks to itself, it is definitely more secure than I expected. I wouldn't expect the self-sticking to be secure enough to hold weight or pick up by it.It cleans the lens really well, along with your glasses

This is pretty cool, I like that I can just wrap whatever I can fit inside and not worry about scratches and the like. Honestly I'd love all sorts of different sizes of stuff made like this. This would be a wonder material for packing. For my camera gear I'd like it to be just a tad larger though.
