The strap is nice, It's not fully removable like I thought but can be switched from the left or right side while the top attachment is fixed/non-removeable. It's a decent little bag with top or side zipper access to the main compartment and a front side slit pocket. However, because of the zipper orientation I'd say the side zip is really only functional with the strap affixed to the right side loop, otherwise the side zipper would oriented at the bottom of the bag and opening it to retrieve something would likely result in all of the contents of your bag falling out. It's fully synthetic so prob good for a beach/lake trip, water park scenario or outdoor event in inclement weather, but I'd say keep in mind that sunlight, personal care products & essential oils will cause accelerated oxidation of the pvc materials & cause them to become discolored, yellowed, cloudy &/or brittle & cracked.
