I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. It's easy to use, works great, and the cascade of wine from the bottle all around the decanter never fails to impress guests. The only drawback is that cleaning and drying isn't the easiest. In particular, it holds condensation, extending the drying time to days, and I haven't figured out how to prevent or address water spots inside, so it doesn't look its best between uses.

I purchased this decanter/aerator for a gift. It arrived in a random unbranded box with no instructions or usage information. the Amazon advertisement reads "EXQUISITE PACKAGING BEST WINE GIFT - circulation decanter has designed a beautiful gift package. When you give it to ... wine lovers, they will be Breathtaking. Definitely not as described. No information on how to pour, dispense or clean. So disappointing.

Update: I am changing my review from one star to 5 based on the response I received from customer service. After speaking with them I will be giving this another try. 9/1/2024I had high hopes for this decanter. It worked perfectly on the first use. After taking out the stopper and rinsing the decanter and stopper it has never worked the same again. There were no directions included but I put it back on as it was when I removed it for washing. It decants fine from the bottle into the decanter but when you want to decant back into the wine bottle the seal doesn’t hold and wine goes everywhere. I had to give it one star but that’s honestly too generous considering the cost vs the poor functionality. I wish I could return it but my husband recycled the box it came in.

The nice thing about this decanter is that you can aerate the wine pouring it from the bottle to the decanter, and then you can aerate it a second time by pouring it back from the decanter to the bottle. It is really nice to have a wine served from the bottle. People like to see what it is. They look at the label. There is often some discussion about the winery, etc. So, for us, the ability to both accelerate the breathing process on a red wine and still be able to pour from the bottle itself is a winner. If you prefer to serve from the decanter, that is fine too. It is an elegant shape, and it pours very nicely. It looks great on the table. We love ours.

I've bought a LOT of items on Amazon, and many of them turn out to be significantly worse than advertised, but this decanter turned out to be even better than I expected. It works exactly as advertised: you can dump your whole wine bottle into it and dump the wine back into the bottle without any splashes or spills as long as you ensure that you sealed everything correctly, which is very easy to do.This decanter can probably fit 2 full bottles at a time, but I've only tested it with one bottle at a time. I also love the short height and the cap on this decanter. It allows you to store the decanter in your fridge for the next day or two, if required.I love it when a manufacturer actually puts some thought into product design and executes it well. I just hope that the rubber seals are durable and that it's easy to find extra parts if needed because I can see myself keeping this decanter for many years. This one's a keeper!
