I like them but can’t get them at the good price anymore. Will look elsewhere.

This chipboard is very thick. It’s a great thickness for spiral journal covers. However, I docked 1 star because the edges were scuffed up.

It claims to be chipboard; it is not! I had been very excited to find chipboard (the heavy paper board that backs legal notepads) in bright colors, but it's actually just standard weight cardstock (like a greeting card or ordinary business card, that you can get in literally any office supply aisle in the world).

I ordered the 8.5"x11" 22pt for making slightly softer cover books. The one I currently have for soft covers is a .35mm thick and is very flimsy, so was hoping this would be a better option.I received this chipboard in a nice branded box in addition to the packing box, which is great to keep the board from being damaged during shipping. The board is exactly the thickness i would prefer for making my soft cover books, but unfortunately the grain direction does run longways which is typical of most papers and boards so I did mostly expect this. I had hoped, though, since it is specifically marketed as great for book binding, that perhaps it would run short grain as to make the most of a sheet. I will have to use 2 sheets per book, and have a lot of extra offcuts that I have to figure out how to recycle. If grain direction doesn't matter to you (IE your books are not made for longevity or you're just starting out and not selling them) this will definitely work, and is priced perfectly. For the way i'll wind up using it, the cost winds up being almost as much as my hard cover 50pt board is per book.I may look into different sizes of this 22pt from this brand as those may work better for me (I usually buy 12"x12" anyways so it doesn't matter which direction the grain is, but didn't see that option available for this product) but I will not be purchasing this particular size of product again as it does not fit my needs or budget.

This is a great product for the price. I was able to do my first book binding successfully. The quality was nice and the weight options are great.
