This coat rack and umbrella base is a good item. I did deduct a star, as the directions are just pictures and no words. Words would have helped instead of the tiny arrows with a few mishaps I had while assembling this product. It took me nearly an hour to assemble after I had to redo one of the parts. It does come with all of the required pieces as well as hardware and one extra piece of each hardware as well as a screw driver and allen wrench. I also found that the pieces were all wrapped in lots of plastic wrap which was great for keeping them separate but took longer to unwrap than just in a plastic bag. Also the stickers that label each piece were very sticky and challenging to remove. This does fit well in a very small space and holds a variety and large quantity of items. The color is as expected.

This coat rack came packaged tight; definitely secure for shipping. It took me a little while to cut through the cellophane, but everything inside was protected and in perfect shape. Taking my time, assembly took about an hour. The instructions are picture-only, which is okay, but they don’t tell you which screws go where. For anyone else putting this together: the larger screws from the “J” bag go on the bottom parts.Once it was put together, I was impressed with how sturdy and balanced it felt. It holds my heavy purse with no problem. I also like that it’s not bulky. Even with the umbrella holders and multiple hooks, it has a slim footprint that fits nicely in a smaller space without being overwhelming. The matte black finish looks clean and modern, and the piece works well next to my bench. Now I can grab my coat and bag on the way out.It seems like it will hold up well. This is a solid pick if you need a standing coat rack that doesn’t take up too much room.

Easy to assemble, comes with required tools and clear instructions. All parts were clearly labeled and bagged. All parts arrived defective free.Assembly took about ten minutes. This has been a long overdue purchase in my home since my household is bad about loading down our old wooden coat rack to the point the pegs would break off. I was able to put all the coats from the old one on to the new metal one with zero fuss. Assembly is easy for one person. I took one star away because there is no method with which the main post that holds the coats secured to the very bottom other than a wire rack that keeps it from lifting out of the base. It allows it to spin, which is nice, but it also made it difficult to move around. New rack has a much smaller footprint than my old wooden one, which is very appreciated.This thing will last a long time. Very happy with it.

I gave this four stars instead of five, because the assembly is kind of a pain. However, if you've assembled furniture from Ikea, you'll manage, and the coat rack itself is very nice looking.The last line of the instructions should have been the first. Especially for the base, don't tighten down the screws until you have all the screws for the base section in place. Telling us that at the end of the instructions wasn't real helpful. You'll need to fiddle with it a bit to make sure it's nice and square.Unpacking will make you a bit crazy - lots of shrink wrapping on every piece. It does a fine job of protecting the parts and their finish, but it can be kind of a pain to remove. Patience is called for!The instructions themselves are fine - no words, just illustrations of how to proceed. The parts each have a letter affixed (easy to peel off) to identify how parts come together - a good, intuitive system.The end result is a very nice coat rack. The base isn't wide or heavily weighted, so balancing haevy coats on it will be required to keep it from tipping.
