Hard to find any real objective evaluations of this type of product, but Techron is supposed to be one of the best to keep things clean. It does seem to help smooth things out when I let my old vehicles sit too long with that crappy alcohol-poluted gas we are forced to buy.

It's a decent price for a 6 pack. I like to keep a few bottles in the garage to add to the fuel tank at 5,000 mile intervals (every time I change my oil) .

As other reviewers have stated, item arrived damaged and leaking. Foil seal under cap was open and contents was only held in with cap. I was lucky to receive a full bottle, despite small amounts inside of shipping box. Other items in box were luckily not too badly covered in this fuel additive. At least tape over the cap Amazon, so we don't have to deal with this and RETURN items. Suppose to be a great product according to the great and almighty Scotty !! Great price compared to smaller size bottles.

I bought a 72,000 mile used Camry, 2.4L classic engine, with good service as shown on Carfax. I live in California so our cheapest gas has twice the Federal required level of detergent in it. Top Tier brands (Google search for Top Tier Gasoline) has 4 times the Federal required level of detergent and is available country wide.So there are 3 levels of detergency: Federal; California minimum; Top Tier branded gasoline (ARCO, Shell, Chevron, 76, most big brands). It’s impossible to know what kind of gas went into my recent used purchase. I’m assuming the cheapest, which - except for Costco - means California minimum, twice Federal minimum though. My new used car ran fine. Maybe a little rougher at idle than it does now, 1200 miles later. Since I got it, I’ve been running a 12 ounce bottle of Techron at each fill up. Tank holds 14 gallons but my fills have all been between 9-10 gallons.I have a certain consistent route about 40 miles outbound and inbound, free flowing freeway traffic. Very consistent route to freeway. Very consistent morning temperatures during warmup.I have seen my route change from 28.5 mpg, as indicated on the dash computer, to 30.3 mpg.I am finished with my “cleaning cycle” and will henceforth only purchase Top Tier fuel, which. should be sufficient (the car makers validate their clean air systems on Top Tier fuel) and add a bottle of Techron at each 1000 mile odometer point (on my cars purchased new I don’t add Top Tier ever). I am hoping to gradually and gentle clean up any valve and piston top deposits. You’d think by now, the main ingredient in Techron would be available in a $5 knockoff. Sadly the competition uses old snake oil ingredients from the ‘50’s and ‘60’s. Techron is the real deal.

to be fair, maybe using this product with a brand new car will not give a noticeable effect.seems I have to wait a bit to give a final evaluation.

I add this to all our vehicles fuel tanks to keep the fuel systems and injectors working smoothly. I like the six pack as that last me for a year now that we are retired and drive less.

I purchased it for my ford flex whose fuel pump was malfunctioning becoming zero level even with more than 1/3 tank. Some reviews suggested that it can fix this issue but it didn't. Feul efficiency slighltly I felt improved. Also car accelerates more quickly after it.

I had been dealing with an annoyingly faulty fuel gauge in my C6 Z06 for months. It would get stuck reading empty no matter how much gas was actually in the tank. Extremely frustrating! After trying a few other fuel system cleaners with no luck, I decided to give Chevron's Techron Concentrate Plus a shot based on its good reputation. I'm really glad I did!I followed the instructions, adding one bottle of the cleaner concentrate to a near-empty gas tank and then filling up. After putting a couple tanks of gas through while using this stuff, the fuel gauge started working properly again. It seems the Techron was able to clean out whatever gunk or deposits were causing the fuel sender unit to misread and get stuck. The active detergent ingredients must have really knocked everything loose. Not only did it fix my gauge, but I could feel a noticeable improvement in engine responsiveness and power after using this quality cleaner. No more hesitation or rough idle. For any C6 owners struggling with fuel sending unit gremlins, I absolutely recommend picking up a pack of the Techron Concentrate Plus before taking more drastic measures. This cleaner has some serious resolving power when it comes to fuel system woes. Well worth the money for a working gauge again!

Like the majority of the customers reviewing this product I had good results every time I use it.I think this is the 3rd time using it and even if I use Premium gas all the times it still makes a difference on MPG. Before I used the Liquimoly Jectron which very similar, but I think this one is a bit better.I have put a full bottle in a 22 gallons tank and after all the gas in the tank is used, I refill it again and then I can see the improvement in mileage of about 2 MPG on highway driving.I have a BMW x5 with the N55 engine (80k miles) which is well taken care of. After this treatment I can get 29/30 mpg driving at 75mph on average. If I drive at around 60mph I get up to 31.5.This car is rated at 23mpg on highway driving, and normally BMW underestimate their performance, so this one is more of a 26mpg car, but getting 29/30 is a great result. Basically, after 2 fuel tanks of Premium (at NY prices....) the saving will pay for a bottle of this product and mind I need to redo it only every 8 or 10 fuel tank refills. For disclosure I also use Liquimoly Molygen 5W40 oil, which is very good for improving mileage and I have replaced transmission fluid at 60k miles, new fresh fluid also gives you an extra mile per gallon.Anyway, it is worth trying Techron because it will at least clean up your fuels system.
